Missed The Mentalist, Sunday. They changed his time without telling me. I figure he's coasting to the end, now, anyway.

Thinking about going back to bed for about an hour.

The world seems much rosier, now that I've had a few minutes of further rest and also ate a hot breakfast. I feel for the ones having snow storms. It's 34 degrees here, but the sun is in sight. Despite how cold I feel, it's going to be a nice day.

I threw the Killing Jesus book away. I appreciate the thought behind the giving it, but not enough to read something like that. - I just thought of a time, as I sat in a doctor's office. I had taken a book to read, one which displayed a Buddhist theme in the design and also mentioned Tibet in the title. Oblivious to all about me, I plowed through the middle chapter. Then, a voice interrupted the silence of the waiting room. A man of about thirty five years spoke to the receptionist: "I never read anything that lets eastern ideas into my life." She acknowledged that he had spoken and went on with her work. I pretended ignorance and turned a page, chuckling slightly over the wit of the author.

Got to make a new batch of colloidal silver today. I have been trying for the greater part of twenty years to turn myself blue by taking a daily dose, but it's not working.

Rocky seems pretty subdued this morning. Something must be cogitating in that skull of his. I might get a clue as the day wears on. I had to alter his feeding habits, starting yesterday, because he had taken to all night long fart sessions. The difference was noteworthy, last night.

They began preparing the high bridges and such for an icy storm, last night. The temp is at its high point, right now, and the storm is expected to hit tonight. Guess I better fix my moringa again.

We are pretty much weathered in, until about noon, and then the weather for us will moderate. The ice should be gone, the streets all passable. That's one positive about being a ******* Texan. Can I get a rebel yell? Just thought I'd ask. No need for testy, is there?

@Rockhead,
I haven't even ventured out long enough to de-ice the vehicles. The wife's job is shut down today. But, it could have been worse. I didn't see a need to drip the pipes, because the freeze is really not that much.

I got called in to my "job" today. The cable guy said the wire in the attic had a short. He wanted permission to make a hole in the brick, in the bedroom, and put an outlet there. She would be expected to get a cable and run it across the bedroom and across the living room, to her TV. That's the length of the entire apartment. I was expected to make the call. My problem, I believe what people tell me. When he said he was 100% sure he had the right wire, I felt that his conclusion had to be valid. During the process of getting approval to let him drill his hole, I suddenly realized that I had not done my job. Sure enough, after I went back, I discovered that he was testing off the secondary outlet. So we opened up the outlet in the other room and found the splitter. As soon as we bypassed the splitter, he was getting a strong signal. I can see why they called me. The new lead man is not yet that familiar with the system, which was originally satellite, then used a master antenna and cable in the same system. It's much simpler since we removed the antenna.

Rocky is the only dog I have had that will argue with me by yipping and barking. Example: "Don't follow me in the bathroom." "Woof woof woof. Eruh woof. Woof woof woof." "I don't care. You are not allowed in here." "Woof. Eruh woof woof woof woof." He often will then toss his grunty pig through the door, at me.

Had Subway for dinner. Ten bucks for two twelve inchers. We each saved half for today. I went back and ate mine thirty minutes later.

I had been given a collection of Cheyenne, the Clint Walker TV series. The episode I watched last night gave a cowboy version of Treasure of the Sierra Madre. I watched carefully to see if B Traven was credited. He was. Note: The Indians did not say, "No needum steenking badges."

Possible more ice for us the next week or three. Bleh. What do I have to do, move to Maui?

Found a script for a projected comic strip I once contemplated starting up. Actually three. The one I mention is about a mean little girl. It reads better than I might have expected. Hmm. Sarcasm and meanness sells well - But - probably too much work involved.

@edgarblythe,
My wife mentioned yesterday that Austin had many car accidents because of the ice, and she was worried if our son was involved. I told her to call if she's worried.

A guy gets off from manslaughter DUI because he was raised rich. A football star gets off from manslaughter DUI with probation, possibly because of public sympathy and a friendly press. Most others guilty of the same actions: an average of 15 years in prison.

@edgarblythe,
It seems most people aren't really concerned about this extreme weather pattern all across this planet. I guess it's because we can't do anything about it. What comes, comes.
