Neologist mate, if you can't see the craziness of your JW cult, there's nothing I or anybody alse can say to convince you otherwise. Psychiatrists will tell you the same thing, that they can't cure anybody who won't admit he needs help. The fact that most people don't answer the door to JW's should give you a clue that they think you're all fruitcakes..Wink
And look at this selection of some of your quotes in A2K, you flip-flop around like a stranded kipper..Smile -

"I can say truly that JWs are most certainly not perfect" (18 Aug 2006)

"I am from Seattle and should not be taken seriously" (7 Nov 2013)

"I am in essential agreement with these lyrics:- Imagine there's no heaven, It's easy if you try,No hell below us, Above us only sky" (31 Oct 2013)

"I'm no genius..One of my main reasons for posting here is to sharpen my understanding" (21 Sep 013)

"When I'm wrong, I fess up to it" (21 Sep 013)

"I'm not aiming for the "pearlies" (23 Sep 013)

"I would refuse a blood transfusion for myself or any of my dependents" (Aug 16 2006)

Oh and regarding "rudeness" you're a dab hand at it yourself, here's some examples what you've called me in various posts-
"Deceiver...ignorant...fable spinner...possibly malicious...your drivel..."

I've told you before mate, get out of the JW's and free yourself from their clutches, they kicked you out when you were a young man because you were questioning their beliefs, that shows you had fire in your belly once, but then you went crawling back to them like a whipped pup..Smile

PS- for the record a little while after posting my last post my conscience kicked in and i decided i was too harsh on Neo, so i went back to delete it but it was too late and it wouldn't go, so it'll have to stand

I skipped work so far this week. But I will make the attempt now. It's 39 degrees out there and will warm to 49. We don't run the heat at night and so when I turn on the news, the TV has to be started three times before it is warm enough to operate.

Hanukka and Thanksgiving are the same day this year?

I tried googling "on a slide" but I still don't know what it means.
For the record my golden rule is never to attack anybody unless they start the fight, but I inadvertently broke that rule in this thread by throwing the first punch at you myself, and when I realised my mistake I disengaged from combat..Smile

Thanksgiving dinner will be served at my daughter's house. Just any nice casual wear will be fine. Bring your appetite, because we will be having a traditional order out meal. Careful not to get stepped on by my over six foot tall grandson. I expect there will be beer, but I am sticking with coffee. See ya there.

@edgarblythe,
Going to my sister-in-laws for Thanksgiving meal in San Jose. We'll also be bringing some turkey home, because she always prepares too much food!

@cicerone imposter,
We have a spare turkey to cook up over the weekend. Partly because I simply have to cook one each year, mainly just to save the meat for future meals.

@edgarblythe,
The thought makes me feel a bit queasy.

Is it a loyalty test?

@edgarblythe,
Had T-Day at my sister's Joanne's (great cook/chef). My love, Leslie attended along with my sister's hubby, two of my sister's friends. They're such lovely older people who have a lot on the ball. Such great conversation. I feel completely stuffed. My capacity for stuffing myself on Big Bird Day is markedly smaller these days. however, we had a variety of treats and asides which I did try. I hope we all will be available next year to do it again.

@Ragman,
I am still waddling about and reliving the events of the day at my daughter's house. It was an extraordinarily fine time we had.

It's mighty cold still. But next week will see us in the 50s and 70s. Ideal weather.

I don't throw my clothes away until they fall off of me. The shirt I wore yesterday is one I also wore the year mrs edgarblythe and I drove to Las Vegas.

It's over. We can quit being thankful another year.

I have yet to do any holiday shopping. I am just buying for the mrs and if we get anything else it will be her doing. Mammy Yokum: "Ah has spoken."

Watched Garth Brooks concert on TV last night. He is highly entertaining, onstage. I like a few of his songs very much, but can take or leave the rest. His wife was there for a while. Her pants were too tight for that big butt.

Breakfast over, I think I will take it easy for a bit. I really hate the news that a train in the Bronx derailed. I have ridden as a passenger through the Bronx, but never set foot on the ground. I have regretted only getting to know Brooklyn and Manhattan. I used to ride the trains out of curiosity, to see where they would get me, but was not adventurous enough to do anything about it. On one line I went out Coney Island way. Mainly I commuted from 31ST Street in Brooklyn, to my job, in Manhattan. I used to walk both boroughs without purpose, other than to see where I would end up. My first month there, I had trouble understanding and communicating with folks, but it was more personal shortcomings than regional differences. I would return for regular visits, if I had a budget for travel.
