Ed asked:
Quote:
Does anybody else write information on small, anonymous, scraps of paper and then keep them around until they slowly, one by one, disappear or no longer mean a thing?

Yes mate i do it all the time such as death threats to politicians, ideas for new articles for 'Pervert Monthly' magazine, lurid love letters to female TV presenters, obscene replies to lonely hearts ads, begging letters to millionnaires etc, but i never get round to posting them

@Romeo Fabulini,
What is it that makes a man who appears to possess some measure of intellect ... ?

I think that I'm going to have to rethink this, Romeo.

Thanks, rock. If everyone on a2k would utilize the ignore feature more often that would be the surest way to contain trolls. I have no idea what the side conversation is about and will never know.

@edgarblythe,
sorry ed, I don't do the button.

sometimes someone needs to see what these clowns are up to and set a little fire in their short hairs.

probably the same kids that used to piss all over the floors in the school bathroom because nobody was watching them...

good manners is a lost art.

I wish Ed would expand his material a bit, he must have seen and experienced a lot of things in his life. For example he was in the navy in the 1960's so he could give us some interesting anecdotes.
PS- Here's Cassidy and his crazy big hat which I mentioned-

Well JT--I know Yanks like being the best at everything but the idea that they are best at lies and propaganda is ludicrous. Obarmy looks like he is lying. And that's really poor.

I assume that is a joke relating to naval dockyards of importance.

Roll out the barrel.

The way I look at it, Robert gave us the tools to self police this site. But, nobody uses them. That is why so many good threads go in the shitter, sooner or later.

@edgarblythe,
a man can't have too many tools, ed. even if he never uses some of them.

I can't remember the last time I needed my hammer drill, but I am glad to have one...

@Rockhead,
Really just a simple saw that cuts good when it has a new blade. I have some money put back but am not sure whether to turn loose of it.

My saw still works, but it is about a dozen years old.

@edgarblythe,
fifty bucks gets you a decent saw these days,

probably not one that goes ten years...

@Rockhead,
When I was a framer, my 24 dollar Black and Decker saws often outlasted the more expensive models. Many is the time they made my job better. I am going to pick one based on weight and smoothness of operation this time. We have a fine Dewalt at work, but it is heavier than one has to be.

I have a cheap lightweight ryobi that works nicely...

Ryobi seems like a good enough brand for the like of me. I will check it out next time I look. My current saw for some reason does not lock onto the blade any longer, until I put a cardboard washer between it and the bolt.
