I buy scratch offs on the occasional whim, not all the time. The last time I did it I got back $50. Not to lie and say I always win. But I don't spend much.

I use a "leaf" blower to clean out dryer vents. Yesterday I blew one out until no more lint appeared, but the dryer still could not push the air through the line. Finally, I blew the line from outside in. First I covered the hole with an A/C air filter to minimize flying lint. This time lint rolled out of the opening, enough to fill a pillow case. This is significant, because I recall my former co worker blowing out the same line a few months ago.

Going to take a refrigerator up the stairs today. First, one down. I have a reliable temp to help out.

@cicerone imposter,
Hard to say. Depends in part how long the lines are, I think, because more gets trapped inside. Some people have more lint and other debris passing through. The dryer sheets sometimes get stuck in there. Also depends how much of the line goes vertical. Before I hit on the notion to use an electric leaf blower, I had a hell of a time with the longest lines. If you blow it out every year or two you are likely to be okay.

Got my gubmint check today. I'm such a socialist.

My job is consuming just about all my energy. After the work and then the recovery time I can't even pretend at creativeness. I need to spend a month vacationing in Hawaii or something.

@edgarblythe,
I just used my leaf blower to clean out the dryer vent, but I'm not sure how clean it is. My wife says she saw the lint outside, so it must have helped some.
I think the lint sticks to the vent, and my blower isn't strong enough to blow it all out.

@cicerone imposter,
AS long as you get a good air flow when the dryer runs you ought to be okay,

Yesterday was ceiling fan day. Today - Hard to say. The management company is being sold, but at least in the beginning the entire structure will remain the same, with nobody changing jobs.

I plan to try drying moringa leaves this week. They can be made into a powder then put into bottles, even capsules. It's recommended to eat both dry and fresh.

I bragged to a woman at the hardware store. Been on my job 21 years in July. Turns out, she has been at her job 58 years and is not thinking about retiring. The other woman in there has been at it thirty five. I don't think I can equal them.

I took the car back to the mechanic. He has had it two days. The last time he kept it that long he didn't charge me for anything. My luck can't hold out.

Of the last four or so visits to my mechanic, he has just charged me one time, about $370. The check engine light keeps coming on. The main point of contention, the read out claims there is a leak. But they can leave a vacuum on it for more than three hours with no loss of compression. The readout calls the car okay, then it decides there is a leak, still. Whatever it is must happen only when driving. We brought it home to use it on the weekend. Sometime next week we will take it back in. Right now the check engine light is off, but I expect it to be back on by morning.

@edgarblythe,
hey ed...

do me a favor, and PM me the make and model again, along with the exact code that they keep getting.

sometimes interpretation is necessary, and a neutral party might see something you are missing...

(I gotta go see my guy next week, and we can ponder it over the beer I bring him)

Had to go back to work last evening. A condenser blew a capacitor. Took time and cleaned his coils. Found in the process his fan has been running in reverse for years. It was replaced about the time I became lead maintenance about 15 years ago. More than likely I was the culprit. Oops.

The moon is getting more spectacularer as it approaches super fullness Sunday night. I must play racing with the moon on letty's radio station.

@edgarblythe,
It lasted for 15 years? Hey, you can fix my fan any time! LOL In today's world, nothing lasts that long.
