Yeah, I'm begining to agree with you, Sturgis. I made a sizeable donation to the site about a week ago and all I see is a downhill slide. Today has been a nightmare of frustration. I find I'm logging in every time I try to post a reply; it takes about five minutes to actually open a thread or post; error messages keep proliferating. Is there any relief at all in sight?

I'd wager it's acting up precisely because Craven is working on it. I'm sure he'll have it up to speed very soon.

Well, I relax quite well while I'm waiting for the page to reload.

I think a little patience is in order.

I opened a sales ticket with the hosting company on the 20th of January and it went unanswered till the 30th (they just went through a merger that seems to have brought the side effect of drastically diminished support service) so no RAM has been added yet (I predict that it will be within the next 7 days but it is not something I control and depends in large part on their turnaround time).

Thanks for the info, Craven!

(I want to add that now even on European mornings the critical errors appear quite often.)

Looks like something's happened, as A2K is working very well this morning.

If that's down to you, Craven, and you've twiddled with your doo dah to enhance the old oojamaflip thingy, then jolly well done!

It's a hard, cruel world for hamsters. Sometimes I can identify with them.

Thanks, Craven, for the update, and for your work here.

If yall haven't already done so, please consider donating some money to A2K. You can do so at the very bottom of this page, over there on the far right.

And please be patient during this frustrating period.

You may end up waiting a while. He gets about 8 million emails and pm's a day, so don't take it personally if he never sees yours.

Thanks Noddy. I didn't see this until now (must have gotten lost in one of the disconnects) when I did a search for the phrase jigsaw puzzle.

And thanks for the shockwave mention too, ehbeth.

Timber--

Quote:
How Doth the Little Crocodile
How doth the little crocodile
Improve his shining tail,
And pour the waters of the Nile
On every golden scale!

How cheerfully he seems to grin,
How neatly spreads his claws,
And welcomes little fishes in,
With gently smiling jaws!

You and Lewis Carroll, improving each shining hour.

Does anyone have some Chamomile tea they can lend me?, as I've been sorely tempted to chuck my PC out of the window on several occasions over the past 24 hours or so......

Or something else to calm my nerves, to help get me through the next Critical error?

The only card that I can find is for someone called Ms Whiplash.

Will she help me relax, do you think?
