@Sglass,
Amtrak service between NYC and Bahstin is suspended until further notice:

Amtrak Acela Express and Northeast Regional service will remain suspended between New York City and Boston until further notice, as crews continue their efforts to clear debris from fallen trees, which have damaged the overhead wire system in several locations throughout New England.

Crews are working to make repairs as soon as possible; Amtrak will provide additional updates later today.

Service between New York and Washington is not impacted at this time.

I may be in LI another day.

One of the trains caught on fire on the NY to Chicago run. Trains were stalled for about 3 hours.

@Region Philbis,
So, what do you do when you have a parking ban. You can't put a car in the living room, fer cryin' out loud, and the entire city is busy looking for a legal parking spot.

@roger,

around here it only applies to the major thorough-fares, not the one-way side streets.

our street, for example, is a snow emergency route.
no one parks on it when the rule is in effect.

R(thank gawd we have a driveway)P

@Region Philbis,
stinks - I have the day off to chaperone the Geography Bee - if it snows this moves to Friday - actually it might be better to have Friday off.
