@Region Philbis,
Yes - I am very afraid of this. I am driving the kiddies for an academic contest tomorrow - it is a nice long drive too. According to the principal this is still on for tomorrow. I honestly do not want to get stuck up there. Especially with the teachers and principal. I don't mind the kids so much - it is bad enough I have to drive the teacher as well.

1-3" predicted for Cville, on the east side of the mountains. 3-6" to the west. We will send the precipitation your way where it will combine with cold and wind.

@littlek,

the latest...
Quote:
Snow is heavy from 12a to 6a, especially south of the Pike. We could wake up to the bulk of the 5-9" (9-12" across SE MA) already on the ground. Winds turn NW 12-22 mph with higher gusts.

Heaviest snow ends by 6am, then light snow quickly tapers through the early morning. We'll most likely see some sunshine by lunchtime. Highs in the mid 30s.

@Region Philbis,
Unfortunately I can't do that. Maybe some day they'll have remote teaching set up for this type of weather.

@littlek,
Boston.com says a foot has arrived already. I know how I'm getting cardio today.

Seeing lots of FB pics from the vicinity -- looks awesome. I know it's not awesome if you have someplace you really need to be. I love serious snow though.

it's a bit much.

School was canceled AGAIN!

This is the point where:
1) people stop caring about dumping salty, icy snow on top of their bushes, and
2) the ice humps next to and between the cars parked on the streets has reached the same height as the bottom of my car.
