Caught this one on the cable brain vacuum pump the other night, My 92 year old mother liked it and I think Catherine Keener is hot.

I watched Notes on a Scandal. Judy Dench is deliciously evil, and Cate Blanchett is wonderful in this film. This film could not have been made when I was a teenager.

@Phoenix32890,
We watched a Ray Liotta movie called The River Murders, it didn’t get very good reviews but we both enjoyed it and it’s a movie I’d probably watch again sometime.

Inception with Leonardo DiCaprio
Love it. I could watch it a gazillion times and I would still love it. Oh the possibilities.

Saw the entire first disc of last season's Mad Men on DVD. It is so much better than watching it on commercial television, where commercials are constantly breaking the flow.

Just saw Looper. Sci-fi Thriller with dramatic storyline. Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Also possibilities.

Went to see Les Miserables (2012) on the IMAX screen last night. Beautifully shot. Mostly great singing but a tad too long. Should have been edited down almost 30 minutes.

@tsarstepan,
IS Le Mis the most redone show in history?

Got the Blu Ray of "Beasts of the Southern Wild"
Great!!, and the little kid with the "starring role" is fantastic. Paleo beats are also a core of the story

@farmerman,
Not sure about the most redone aspect but they had to add a new song or two in order see if they could grab an original song Oscar nomination.

Just back from watching Les Mis....
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1707386/?ref_=fn_tt_tt_1

Hugh Jackman-Jean Valjean-for an ex-wolfman,this guy can sing.
Anne Hathaway-Fantine-for the short time that she is on screen (pass the tissues) she steals the movie.
Russell Crowe-Javert-competent.
Eddie Redmayne-Marius-pretty good.
Colm Wilkinson (an ex Jean Valjean) -Bishop-a pretty safe bet.

I'm going back to see this again and again until I get it on Blu-ray.

Saw Zero Dark Thirty and it was boring. I never sat for so long and enjoyed so little. I know the CIA and a ******* ten year office search for clues to finding Bin Laden don't constitute the emotional equivalent of a roller coaster ride, but Jesus Christ. If you're going to make a movie - this might be something to consider in pre-production. I know many people might be interested in the road to OBL, but the appropriate venue may be a White Paper - or a documentary. NOT a MOVIE.

@Lash,
I heard Zero Dark Thirty sucked.

Tonight we’re going to watch Swimming Pool, it’s a Brittish movie. I have it on DVD but haven’t seen it in a while. I thought this was a great film.
