The other night we watched Prometheus on PPV. This film will go down as one of the worse movies I’ve ever seen. It was so bad I’m actually thinking of writing Ridley Scott a letter and ask him if I can have a refund because his film stunk so bad.
not exactly a movie, but I've been watchin a lot of mmmmmmmm educational dvd's lately
most recently
next up
I need to learn to not put bids on everything at silent auctions.

Wow. You guys are tough. I loved Prometheus and am really excited to see how and when any sequels will come out and how it will diverge away from the Alien franchise.
We just had din din, it's Antonio's turn to pick a movie, he wants to watch Antz

@jcboy,
A couple nights ago we watched The Descent. It’s a scary movie but actually a pretty good movie, we both enjoyed it.

Just saw People Like Us on DVD. It's a good drama with Chris Pine, Michelle Pfeiffer and Elizabeth Banks. Based on a true story about a man finding out things about his dead father and a sister he didn't know existed. A wonderfully touching twist at the end...
We saw that on 'On Demand' a couple weeks ago. I really liked it. My wife didn't like the way it ended. I think Richard Gere is an underapreciated actor.
At a Sydney girls’ school, music director Karen Carey prepares her young students for a concert at the Opera House. Believing in the transformative power of great music, Carey insists upon a classical repertoire, sets a dauntingly high performance standard and requires the participation of every girl in the school. Carey inspires many of her girls, but some do not share her passion and are not afraid to say so.
Her greatest challenge will be firing up the unwilling, and her antagonist is 16 year old Iris Shi. Waging open warfare against authority, the charismatic Iris is the focal point of student resistance to Carey’s Opera House ambitions, and the only girl who gets seriously under her skin. Emily Sun is Carey’s star musician and a different sort of headache – a gifted but troubled teenager on the threshold of a brilliant musical career if only … Carey wants Emily to solo in a Bruch Violin concerto. But to bring out her best, she needs to keep the girl from going off the rails, and then get inside her head. And that proves no easy task, because young Emily has her own distinctive take on everything.
Mrs Carey’s Concert is about music making and coming of age, about talent and courage, compliance and rebellion. About those prepared to open their minds and hearts to what the world has to offer … and those yet to discover the potential within.
Skyfall - one of the best Bond movies.
The Hobbit - 3D.If you liked the LOTR trilogy you will like this but it is a tad too long.
Life Of Pi -3D.Amazing story.Recommended.
just watched The Railway Children (1970), quaint film, had to laugh when i found out the actress playing the 11 year old daughter was actually 3 years older than the oldest sister
Sally Thomsett was cast as the 11-year old Phyllis, despite being 20 years old at the time. Her contract forbade her to reveal her true age during the making of the film and she was also not allowed to be seen smoking or drinking during the shoot.

watched a few films over the last few days
Tom and Thomas, nice take on the prince and the pauper, a good family film
Yanks, great film, hadn't seen it since it was released in 1979, still as good as i remember
Mrs. Henderson Presents, you can't go too far wrong with a leading cast that includes Dame Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins, based on the story of the Windmill theatre in London, the only theatre that never closed during the Blitz, funny and poignant (and you get to see DI Anna Travis & Nymphadora Tonks nekkid)
