BTW - there have been a plethora of excellent posts in this thread. I know I've not acknowledged every one that I thought to be special -- but that does not mean I haven't felt that way about them.

You know, it would be interesting if the Supremes are all now so horrified at what they've become, or anxious to sit on an even more conservative bench--that none will retire; the one group for fear of what may come, the other clinging to their opportunity to further their natural law agenda before the left inpose their putative secular humanist agenda . . .

Whenever it is possible to separate a too sensate concept of one's own stake in the process from one's consideration, them boys and girls practicin' the profession of politics can be positively a hoot . . .

And i'd say the question of whether politics or prostitution were the older profession would be akin to the consideration of whether the chicken or the egg came first . . .

Set, We all know that the chicken had to come first. The egg is an evolutionary development that had to occur necessitated by the environment. Wink c.i.

Realistically, I think Scalia is more interested in my genitals than most prostitutes would be.

I decided to speak Republicanese today, and see what happened.

It has been a very nice day. The people I respected were kind and funny. I had on my galoshes and raingear--expecting The Blizzard, but instead had a great time.

I got a nibble that was nicely retracted, and two people attacked my avatar--of all things! That's funny. When all else fails--GO FOR THE AVATAR!!! Laughing Laughing

It was a good day. Very Happy Mayhap, the personal attack is on the decline...

I dunno, Boss, today seems kinda touchy, like it was two weeks ago when ever one was a certifiable crab, i've been on tip-toe, and avoiding certain threads and comments altogether . . .

Setanta--I'm ALWAYS on eggshells! So, today was cool for me.
I did have a couple of brouhahas, but they didn't get nasty (except the two avatar shots.) --and good God, that's better'n what used to come down the pike.

Did someone else have a duel I missed? I didn't see any.

<oops. She's thinking she misses alot of nuance.>

Well, frankly, i think Repub Oath went right over the top, and stayed out there, so i left . . . i started a thread last night, and when someone poopoo-ed what i'd written with a certain amount of sneering and i'd already more than once tried to inform this poster and the others there that the subject under discussion wasn't the topic i'd started the thread for--that person basically called me out, basically accused me of copping out. So, I charged up the old Invectomobile, and unloaded on him . . . it was much worse two weeks ago, but it ain't been pretty today . . .

I guess our spleens require some cyclical spewing.
Being called out is the best excuse. You can even feel righteous later.
And, you my dear, are righteous in the best sense of the word. Cool

We've lived to fight another day. Exclamation

This has been a great thread so far, containing many of my favorite A2K ers, but I am now on my way to do a private party.

Tough being so in demand and loved by many. Cool Rolling Eyes
