In keeping with the 12 Days of Christmas and a Partridge theme, here's a little diddy for you, Elliot. No pear trees as of yet, but I'm sure Joe has them in stock at the store.

Hello, world, here's the song that we're singin'
C'mon get happy!
A whole lot of lovin' is what we'll be bringin'
We'll make you happy!

We had a dream, we'd go travelin' together,
We'd spread a little lovin' then we'd keep movin' on.
Somethin' always happens whenever we're together
We get a happy feelin' when we're singing a song.

Trav'lin' along there's a song that we're singin'
C'mon get happy!
A Whole lot of lovin' is what we'll be bringin'
We'll make you happy!
We'll make you happy!
We'll make you happy!

Poor Joe. I picture him laying in bed anxious to hear Elliot's reaction to all the email he's receiving. Joe's got the sound on his PC turned way up and has subscribed to the Elliot thread.

Now and then, Joe's PC blares "YOU"VE GOT MAIL!" Like a trained seal, Joe leaps from bed, runs to the PC and clicks on the link to see if it is Elliot, only to find fan photos of Danny Partridge.

Hee hee, we're getting back at him, Elliot! He's getting bombarded with email too! Laughing Very Happy Laughing

Butterfly: Stop picturing me in bed.

I am not wearing my underwear, at the risk of boring the hell out of everyone, I am wearing my Joe Kleinerman 10K shirt which I earned by trotting a lap of Central Park in the freezing ass cold and wind last Sunday.

The real Joe was a founding member of the NY Roadrunners Club and ideaman behind having age classes in road races. He also supported, way before anyone did, having women in the same races with men. One of his lasting legacies to the sport he loved is the Joe Kleinerman Scholarship Fund. The college scholarships are awarded to a New York City Public School boy and girl track athletes each year.

Tee hee.....got 'em again, Elliot!

I think a great nickname for Elliot would be ET, don't you Joe?

Still no word from E.T.? That must be a very long patrol he's out on. Hope we hear from him soon so Joe can get some sleep.

No word yet. I'm patient. I haven't got a clue what it must be like to be there.

I haven't heard back from Elliot but I am more than a little upset with Joe because of the apparent portal that opened up when I sent the email and has caused my inbox to be suddenly deluged with military porn.

I was just watching a couple of marines grappling with an emu (not heeven) in a country that looked impoverished, but may have had remnants of wealth since I could make out what appeared to be a small mansion carved in the hillside, barely visible over the tip of the marine's rifle who was wrestling the struggling bird to the ground.

I sent an e-card. My brother was there twice and I'd have liked it if someone did this for him, so what the heck! My card will be sent on Christmas eve. Smile

You're a nice guy, Joe(but please, cut back on the soy dogs)Nation!

Still no word from or about Elliot, Joe? The silence seems kind of worrisome. Hope everything is going well for him.

When my stepson was growing up in the peacetime navy, I wrote him once a week--oftener if I had something interesting to report.

He didn't always read the letters, but there is a certain status in the culture of Young Men in having too much mail to be able to digest.

Elliot may be swamped and silent--but I'm sure he appreciates the thoughts.

GOOD NEWS

I just got back from Florida ten minutes ago.

(That's not the good news.)

I have heard from Elliot. He says he has been....busy.

Joe(I was getting blue from holding my breath.)Nation

PS He says you are all nuts, but likes getting the mail.

PSS There has been some comment as to whether Gus is disgusting. He is not, he has a repellant personality, a sickening, repulsive and otherwise nauseating approach to almost any subject, but I have found with the aid of the right medications, I can read through one or two of his posts within becoming overcome with disgust, but maybe that's just me.
