So who said you couldn't? Certainly not me. Just don't give us this big con job about how you're not aligned with the Republican Party when you've been doing nothing but run down Democrats since you got here.

The right of freedom of speech does NOT include the right to declare that nobody has the right to remember the things you said before-and to point out that they are the opposite to the things you are claiming now.

& i will continue to run down SOME dIms, the skanky ones.
You know what's wickedly telling on you & others like you? You believe that you can say whatever you want to about anybody but when someone else voices their oipnion about pep[le that you agree with, all hell breaks loose. You're hypocrits & you can't seem to tell reality from fantasy.

I'll walk into the blaze here to say that as a lefty, primarily, with overtones of libertarian, socialist, and conservative, don't ask, I don't have the time - I'm not thrilled with Pelosi.

On Jane Harman, not Harmon, that's a movie industry family you're thinking of, Tom, the football player father being the progenitor....

Jane Harman was friend of friends for me, in my old home town.

I was around when she won, but never talked with her, though I vaguely remember meeting her on a busy evening. I gather she's extremely sharp and doesn't suffer fools.

But, there is also some accusation against her, and that may be the apparent basis for ex-ing her out of contention. If it is only personal distaste, I think that's way out of line.

If from calculation that Harman is too far 'right', that also makes me irritated.

You mean like only the ones you've heard of.

This is ridiculous. You continually call Democrats communists and allied with Lenin and Stalin, over and over. When a Democrat such as myself points this out, I get asked repeatedly if I learned my politics in the Kremlin.

But you want to be recognized by all as some sort of independent who gives shots to both sides. If one side just happens to get 95% of the shots, you insist that means nothing. You still expect to be recognized as independent and non-aligned. Forget it.

Do you have the right to come on here and criticize Democrats? Sure. Just don't try to pretend that you're here for any other reason.

Fact is, the election was pretty much a disaster from your point of view. The party with the principles farthest from your own will be appointing the majority leaders and committee chairmen, and every committee will have a majority of people whose party you link with the Kremlin. You clearly don't like that. Fine. Just don't expect to be taken seriously when you go on and on about one member of the party you think is riddled with communists gets the nod over the other member of the party you think is riddled with communists. Anybody who has read any of your ridiculous posts knows that if you had your way, neither of these people would get within 100 miles of a committee chairmanship or majority leadership position.

Have I ever said you cannot criticize public figures? Please point out where I said that. I only say that if you want to continually criticize one side almost excluively, that at some point others find it hilarious when you try to act that you are glad one member of that side gets the nod over the other.

PS Madam: I think it's just wonderful that now you are closing in on 1,000 posts, most of which are anti-Democratic, that you have started a thread about Republicans you don't like.

Is this you claim to being independent? ROFLMAO!

Ramsey Clark, George Soros, to name but two slime bags are certainly aligned with communism, & those two can & have done some damage to this country. Some of the worst in the Democrat Congress, IMO, are Ted kennedy, Dick, Durbin, & of course, John Kerry, in the Senate. They are pure socialists & go against everything that i finde good in this country. One was a coward that left a young woman to drown, the other two are muciferous wally draggles that have said terriable things about our military members. You want to support that kind of man, fine, I will not badger or attack you for it, however, I will forever attack not only these kinds of peoples politics, but their sleazy characer as well. You can't deal with that, too damn bad.
Did i say that you said I couldn't criticize public figures? What you & others do is get your knickers in a wad anytime one of your saviors is criticized.
I have criticized repubs & this president on many different issues many times, you just choose not to see that because it's easier for you to attack me than defendd some of the disgusting behavior of some members of your party.

Thank you for answering the question about Harman.
She certainly seems the best qualified for that post, certainly over Reyes & most defenitely over hastings. I believe she was the minority leader on the intelligence committee.

Pelosi has never spoken against NAMBLA, Gary Studds, nor Barney Franks, therefore, with her silence, she is endoring them. She also marced in a gay pride parade within hugging distance of harry hayes, a big endorser of NAMBLA.

Lone Star Madam does Iago (and won't have the foggiest idea what I'm talking about).

Look folks, I would wish to impress on you once again how meritless and counter-productive it is to engage individuals like this one. In all ways, discourse sinks to the gutter.

I'll just bet that you chimed in when the Foley e-mails came to light & Hastert was accused of knowing about them & kept silent....of course you did. Rolling Eyes

How? George Soros gives some money to the Democrats-how many rich individuals and corporations give money-big money-to Republicans? Kind of a double standard there, eh, LoneStarMadam?

Socialist, baloney. Go figure out what the hell "socialist" means then post. That way you have an outside chance of not humiliating yourself everytime you post.

You are not a socialist if you think that private enterprise should be the driving force of the economy. Merely supporting programs that help poor people does not make you a socialist. Not as long as you support private enterprise as being the way most people make a living and get their money.

If you feel that supporting some programs to help the needy makes you a socialist, then you must also believe that Franklin Delano Roosevelt was a socialist. After all, he started the Social Security system which Bush & Co are trying to utterly destroy.

You conservatives/Republican/Republican sympathizers, (or whatever you term yourself), call anyone a socialist who refuses to cut taxes to the rich, leave the less fortunate to the resources of faith-based charities, and forget all about the exploding budget deficits and burgeoning national debt. In other words, anyone who shows actual fiscal responsiblity, instead of blind allegiance to a group of pet economic theories which don't work.

Socialist? Bah! Find out what you are talking about before you post.

George Soros gave money....Hellloooo, anybody home? It isn't his $$$ (even thought his acquirement of those $$ is questionable) it's his philosophy. Socialistic & communistic.
Socialism-Redistribution of wealth & public ownership. That describes Ted Kennedy to a tee. His leaving a young woman to drown is public knowledge & if you don't know that then you aren't even old enough to be posting here. You don't like socialism & cowards, better find some new candidates.
