I disagree. My thread about you "Incapable Goes Hunting" has been removed, after being first moved to "Humor". So I guess I don't really have to live with it.

Well, well, well... what do you know about that. I wonder why it was moved and removed. And, no...I did not complain to anybody but you.

Anyhow, you still have to live with them whether they were removed or not.

BTW...you have just revived some of it.

America: just go get a gun, in most states. Three day wait for Calif. No classes taught on gun safety or gun owner responsibility.

Is that the reason America is such a violent country? Access to weapons is too easy?

No. That is the reason we are the only free country.

BULLSH*T. 'Free' people don't have to pack a piece to feel safe and 'free'.

Best redefine what freedom means if that's what it takes. You're the only free country? Oh, I don't think so. There are many places on the planet that are safer and better to live in than the US. What, pray tell, have you got to compare the US to? Where else have you lived?

As usual, you are completely wrong.

The stats I gave earlier in this thread don't lie. 90,000 kids dead from guns since, I believe 1987 is quite a lot. But I guess lives are cheap in the US. The ones that don't get killed off in the streets of the US get packed off to Iraq where they'll finish the job there. You yanks just like killing and wars.

You can get a CCW without having to pass a test?

Where?

I have no idea what you are talking about. My point- as usual over your head - is that classes and a license should be required for firearms. I suspect, however, that many of you pro-gunners would flunk the test. Testing would, therefore, weed out the ones of lesser intelligence-- who should not be packing a piece anyway.

Some of the best hunters I have ever known were illiterate and couldn't pass a test if they wanted to. They could also disassemble, clean, and reassemble a gun with their eyes closed.

I suspect many of these antis don't own cars either. Just a guess. Mechanical minds are different.

I'm curious to learn exactly when God gave man the right to own firearms.

Do u concede the existence of ANY God-given rights, blacksmith ?

Freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom from torture, ANTHING AT ALL ?

My views on the subject are immaterial. You, however, fail to answer the question.

"God-given" is not a claim that the right was personally handed down from God. It is just a way of referring to wnat you might call a "natural right" or a "human right".

It isn't the same sort of claim as "the divine right of kings".

So far as I remember,
I have never ASSERTED that the right
was given by God.

I seldom invoke the Supreme Being into
arguments of an ideological nature.
Hence, I don 't feel called upon to defend
an affirmation that I never made.

However, since u press the point so unrelentingly,
I will cite to Luke 22:36 wherein Jesus says:
" ... he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one. "
In light of the fact that one shud not take a knife
to a gunfight, I believe that it is fair to extrapolate that advice to apply to guns.

That looks really familiar. Unlike Dys, I fire mine regularly, and it will be going deer hunting with me in a couple weeks. A 50+ year old superb Win 32 SPL.
