I wish that were true, Linkat.

I just looked at the popularity stats for Yul, Ozzy, and Candice. There was a big jump for Candice at episode 6 (wasn't that the recap show?), and she's been steadily climbing since then to 36.89 of the vote. Yul has gone from 22.02 to 29.35%, and Ozzy from 9.94 to 22.29%. Some of that's attrition -- the voters of ousted players switch to another player -- but I don't understand her rising popularity.

But there is justice under the stars -- Adam has gone from a high of 6.11% in the first episode to .49% in the 9th. *snicker*

It does seem strange, but being a numbers person I did have to take a look at this - Yul's percentage increase is 33% and Ozzy's percentage increase is over 120%. Candiance I can't calculate as I don't have the original start. But one thing I can deduct is that even after the jump ship episode she could have climbed because she was in the group that had the majority at the time. Also, isn't this vote not really popularity, but who you think would win? If so, that would make sense - you would think that the team who has more would more likely have the ultimate winner.

So does it matter that everyone knows Yul has the idol?

I'm glad Candice is gone, watching her and Adam suck face was too much for my delicate constitution. I loved the faces of the jury when they were talking, there's a lot of anger on that side of the fire.

If Yul takes Jonathan to the end it might be a tough call as to who would actually get the votes. The problem with being the front guy is that you always get blamed for everything. Yul's intelligence may end up being a handicap afterall.

Green Witch, I too was a bit surprised that Yul told everyone about the idol. I think he suspected that Jonathan had already spilled the beans, so why pretend? But he may have made a strategic error there. Not sure I agree with you about the jury's take on things, though. In the past, jurors have respected people who played the game well. However, that might not apply this time. Many of the players seem to be taking things personally. And the Raro people don't seem all that keen on playing the game at all.

Candice sealed her own fate when she came out yelling, telling Jonathan things that Yul said, right in front of Yul. Very unpolitic of her.

Did I understand correctly that the three nudniks from Raro were offended because they weren't invited to dinner? Is it possible that I got that right? They were ten feet away cuddling. They knew there were fish and a fire. They needed to be invited? Get up off your lazy butts and go eat. I really, really don't like anyone on that rapidly dwindling tribe.

Ok, we found out that Ozzy could lose a challenge. Something not physical.

Well, I'm glad Candice is gone. What an unpleasant, two-faced, stone-cold bitch. And that whole thing with Adam was just hurl-inducing.

The three-- Adam, Candice and Parvati-- were upset that the food (which they did nothing to catch, prepare or cook, or to do any other work around the camp apparently) wasn't shared. I guess they wanted dinner served to them while they snuggled and played slumber party in the lean-to. Frankly, I wouldn't have shared it either.

The three-- Adam, Candice and Parvati-- are the oddest trio ever to lollygag through a Survivor. How, as Jonathan's question asked, does someone live on a south sea island for a month and not ever SEE how to gut a fish, let alone actually DO the work? And, and please know that it's perhaps because we live in a large city, elbow to teakettle with seven million people, what is the problem Candice has with Exile Island?

I would love to be sent to Exile Island!!! I would make me a fire, find some crabs to roast and look up at the stars until I fell asleep! (Yeah, yeah, I know, I would miss the bonding going on back at camp. yeah.) But she spends her time bawling.

(Go ahead, try to resist making the joke that all she can do is bawl or ball.)

Adam, it turns out, is smarter than I thought at least at math and has been paying some kind of attention to detail. Way too late, boyo.

Knowing Yul has the idol makes for some interesting math as well, especially for the rest of the Aitu Tribe, but I have to think about all that, right now, I am glad that Candice's name turned up on those cards.

I don't think it matters that everyone knows that Yul has the idol, however, I do not think it was a smart move for him to tell everyone. It makes him seem arrogant and that never helps in this game. And even if it doesn't seem to matter now, you never know for sure in this game. Only give out information if you think it will benefit you - for example when Yul did tell Jonathan about the idol.

So glad that Candice is gone - she certainly sealed the deal when she came over and made trouble. Didn't endear herself to anyone.

Sundra Becky Ozzie Yul Adam Parvati Jonathan

Too early to do the math? Knowing that any vote against Yul will bounce off onto second place, where do the votes lie? Do Sundra and Becky realize that the hidden Idol makes them vunerable? If Yul attempts to take Jonathan to the final two would that be seen as too crassly calculating?

Flash (Don't be afraid -this will not happen)

Becky, suddenly revealed as the real puppetmaster, gets Sundra and Parvati and Ozzie to vote against Yul (with Yul and Jonathan making their votes against Adam, Adam goes home and Yul loses the idol)

Then they vote Yul out again after Ozzie wins immunity for the umpteenth time.

Then Jonathan refuses to fish knowing he is next and he gets it.

That leaves Becky, Sundra, Parvati and Ozzie in the final four.
Immunity is based on who has the biggest hairdo. Ozzie wins by a whisker.

Parvati sent packing.

Final challenge is fire building which Becky wins in a go away and she picks Sundra for the final two.

The jury is deadlocked until next CBS sues them into making a decision.

And the winner is:

Joe, I'm with you about Exile Island. Ah, the peace, the solitude.

I also agree that Yul is very vulnerable. Not only will he be able to use the immunity idol only once, but I believe there comes a time when it no longer applies. He's a powerful presence. Don't know if he'll be able to get to the end. If he does, he should win. Didn't say he would win. Said he should win.

I thought they could only use it to get to the final four. Once there are four - you cannot use it any longer.

Anyone know for sure?

Parvati can now have Adam all to her snuggly self. Or she could shine her gummy smile on Ozzy -- assuming that he would be the most vulnerable to her arts, and try to break into/break up Yul's foursome.

Meanwhile, back at Loser Camp, Billy is down on one knee, declaring his endless love for Candice.

Mr. Green

Yul has played with so much frankness that I wouldn't be surprised if he kept to his promise to Becky. Whether Becky keeps hers is another story -- we've seen precious little of Becky's character. But on the Survivor website still photos, there's plenty of pics showing Becky interacting with many players including the Candice/Adam/Parvati sandwich. Becky and Jonathon as the final two?

Personally, not that it matters in the least, I'd be happy with either Yul or Ozzy winning -- but lean towards Ozzy, the one to whom $1m could mean the most.

I think another double elimination is coming up. Last show is Dec 14, and last show is usually the final four. So in this coming week's episode, will they get rid of 2 players? Oh wait, I just used both hands for counting -- there's currently 7 players (it's so easy to miss Sundra) -- they need to get rid of 3 players. Hmmmm.

I'm still not watching!!!

But I'm reading along and just went to the site to catch up a bit.

It seems like Yul didn't win anything at the auction. That seems like it could be strategic. That he felt he would get points if he was honest and not sneaky about it, but wanted to do it at the time when the circumstances would equalize things as much as possible. People were mad at Jonathan for eating all that pizza, not at Yul (who didn't get anything at auction) for having the idol.

I wonder that with the expanded jury pool, they might not let some of the later losers sit on the jury.

I think Yul, et al. made a big mistake in not getting rid of Adam--a known enemy and a major threat. This move mystifies me.

Quelle surprise. Ozzy won a physical challenge. It's a pleasure to watch him move.

The coming attractions hinted that Ozzy might defect. I know that we can't trust the coming attractions. But if he does, the numbers will be three and three.

Ozzie was magic wasn't he? He zipped across those barrels as if he had radial tires on his feet.

I thought the same thing about the vote until I realized that what the four have just done is cemented themselves with the jury as the bunch who offed Jonathan.

That will pay back for any of the Aitu crew including Yul.

Adam now has to win immunity against the likes of Ozzie every single challenge forward or be gone.

I personally believe that not voting off Adam when they had the chance could very well be a game altering move. If Adam wins two immunities, and he's obviously strong and not quite so dim as he first appeared, he's in the final four. And in the final four, alliances have to shift.

Jonathan, while annoying, was hardly a threat in any way. Who would trust him enough to make a deal at this point? And I don't believe he had as much ability at winning immunity challenges as Adam might. In any case, assuming arguendo that Jonathan somehow made it to the final two, who better to be up against? Nobody would vote for him!

It was a foolish, short-sighted move that could well cost the four-- Yul, Ozzy and the girls-- in the long run.
