Hey, Boomer! I too thought it was funny, in a strange sort of way, that the pinch mark was more the issue than the fact that the guy's headache was gone. I'd trade a pinch mark for sinus headache any day.

As for Exile Island, it's so small, why not dig up the whole place? What else have they got to do?

Even though I think Billy deserved to be voted off, I can't help finding Ozzy somewhat annoying too. In spite of his chicken trapping skills....

It was a good move, though unnecessary, they could have waited until they actually lost a challenge to oust him, but by that time he probably would have eaten all of the chickens....so they moved when they did.

The weird thing was the weird thing he, Billy, said about falling in love with some member of another tribe..... wacko. Up until that point I think the women were thinking about offing Ozzy, but then big Billy reveals himself to be a complete bizarro and that was that.

Joe(say wha?)Nation

PS can you imagine a Metal Tribe? NOBODY DOES ANYTHING....

I can't imagine Billy being in a metal band. Or any band.

And yes, that was a real wacko moment with the whole, "I fell in love with Christina at first sight and we mouthed I love you to each other"

WTF? I wonder if he was just saying that for sympathy or if he is really that delusional? (Loved the shocked look on Jeff's face at that moment!!)

Yeah, that love thing was weird. Although she did say something about love to the guy after the challenge (kind of a pity thing, I think) and he said "I love you too". I would definitely want that guy off my island after that confession.

I do think a tribe that cannibalizes itself is looking for trouble. Power is in numbers for a large part of this game. If you merge with less tribe members you get picked off like lice on a monkey.

Is it any surprise that the Asians keep figuring out the puzzles the fastest and an Asian guy finds the immunity idol with only two clues? Hey, I never would have passed 9th grade algebra if I hadn't sat next to Jimmy Wong.

Yeah, the Asians are doing great. Except for that one big-mouth guy.

Speaking of the challenge, I had to laugh when the Latino tribe was "throwing the challenge" and Ozzy was so obviously taking his time. If he'd been moving any slower, he would have been in reverse.

He also delivered my favorite line of the night:

"I have to make sure things are done my way or they'd be done wrong."

I think it was foolish to throw the challenge. They need numbers for the merge.

I also think the women in the black tribe had better wise up and stop letting the guy try to do things. He's clearly inept. Couldn't untie a knot. Couldn't light a fire. If the white folks hadn't thrown the competition, another black person would be gone.

Never mind about Cowboy talking too much. The guy is a miracle worker. One more headache gone. And one more red mark on somebody's forehead. What else can he cure?

I agree with everybody here. That "I love Christina" business was just plain weird.

Wonder when there'll be a merge and how it will work. I'm guessing two and two before they get to no tribes. Don't know how they'll determine who goes with whom.

Don't know. I've been thinking about this. Right now the Latinos (are we supposed to remember the Cook Island names? duh)

Right now the Latinos are the strongest team, they have cut out their deadwood. If I was Ozzy I would find a way to say that to the women.

"Hey, now we are the strongest, we aren't going to lose anymore challenges, but if we do, I volunteer to be the next one voted off, how's that?"

I bet Christina (if and when she hears about that comment), will be relieved to hear he was booted. Stalker waiting to happen. I agree with Green Witch - I think she felt sorry and was making an attempt at sympathy. Yeah, Stray Cat - I would imagine not much shocks Jeff at this point and this certainly did.

In most cases, I agree with Green Witch about throwing a challenge to boot some one, however, if he really wasn't with the rest of the group, he would be the first to jump ship once a merge occurs - at least he won't be a future vote against them.

Oh my gosh - is the black tribe the worst at challenges? The Latino tribe had to really take their time and still they could have beat them - they really had to work hard to lose. However, the black tribe does seem to be united.

Yeah I want Cowboy (to cure headaches). Wonder what else he can cure if they have issues? Ironically his talking could be what is causing all the headaches.

That was the latino tribe?! I'm embarrassed. Can't keep my ethnic groups straight. Embarrassed

Well, I've found my little group that I'm rooting for. I'm loving the Yul/Jonathan/Candace/Becky alliance.

Yul is one smart cookie. He managed to get Cao Boi (idiot!) and Jessica (his idiotic female counterpart) to vote off Cecilia and let Becky stay! I think Yul's going to be the one to watch.

Meanwhile, I can't stand Parvati. She's got a set of teeth that a pirhana would envy -- and when she bares them in her rendition of a "flirty" smile -- I keep wanting to throw her some raw meat.

She is a total skeeve. I'm betting there are hookers out there who are more subtle when it comes to "flirting." I can't wait for her -- and every one of her teeth -- to be voted off.

I'm liking Yul too. Yes, the flirty one has got to go, she is sooo obvious it's pathetic. I was hoping they would keep the teams together for another week. I liked the way they bonded and much of that bonding had to do with how they related to each other ethnically.

Yes, I'm kind of surprised they abandoned that so quickly, since it was supposed to be the big "hook" of this season. Still, it's interesting to mix things up!

I too like Yul, but I think he made a mistake in telling Becky that he found the immunity idol. The game has too many twists and turns for him to trust anybody.

Is it possible that the woman with the strange hair (is her name Flicka?) can be that out of it? Why did she sign up for the show if she's more interested in having fun than competing?

Looks like Ozzy's in the wrong alliance. I'll be interested to see how he deals with it. We weren't shown whether he continued to "be in charge" after the merge.

Bye JP. I love it when some big shot, know it all, gets slammed by the little people. At least he departed with some class.

The baby bird scene was disturbing, but at least it seemed OK in the end. I was surprised the mother bird didn't fly away. I'm glad they all felt shame and guilt. Of course no one ever feels sorry for the chickens.

Well the chickens are not little day old babies - they are food.

Love it too - the over confident little p**ck did himself in. After so many series of Survivor one would think these overconfident ones would learn - at least act a little humble.

I giggled over the JP ouster, too.

I can never understand why team member trot out the "But we need all the strong guys to win challenges" when challenge after challenge is won by the supposedly weaker team. Sure, you need maybe one muscle guy, but at this stage the team that works well together (doesn't matter if they like each other or not) and has some smarts is usually the winning team.

Has any really buff guy ever won the big prize?

Tico, We had Richard Hatch in the buff. But actually buff? Can't think of one who won. I don't think the muscles are so much the issue as the attitude. JP was arrogant and overbearing. Yul is at least as buff, but he's a team player and he's using his brains, which go a long way in a game like this.

Hated that business with the bird. I'd be surprised if the mother bird accepted the baby bird all covered with human smell. However, I hold out a smidgeon of hope--she didn't fly away. I think that Cowboy (I know he spells it differently, but I don't remember the differerences) is partly of value and mostly nuts. I wonder how long he'll survive.

It is a facility that a mother bird will not accept its baby when touched by a human - here is a suggestion by a vet about finding a baby bird -
"Birds have very little sense of smell so the mother bird will accept the baby even if it is touched by humansÂ… and even if they see you touch their baby their protective parental instinct comes first. If the nest is unreachable or destroyed:
1. Place nestling in a box or margarine tub complete with drainage holes and lined with dryer lint, shredded paper towel or dry leaves and nail to tree as high as possible. The mother will find the nestling by sound.."

Linkat, Thanks for the info. I'm glad to learn something new, especially when I've had the wrong information for a very long time. Also glad to think that the mother bird will return to her young.

Big sigh.
