Did anyone else think the dragging contest was stupid? Can't they think of anything a little more interesting than a bunch of stinky, half starved people yanking on each other limbs?

I wasn't sorry to see Cai boi go. In the beginning he was a rather interesting novelty, but lately he was becoming a distraction. I'm also surprised I'm not seeing any real espionage at this stage of the game. It seems there are enough annoying people in each tribe that choosing who needs to go is an easy pick. This might be the game of whomever annoys everyone else the least will be the winner.

I was a little disturbed over the dragging contest. It had no way to go but get nasty. I'm sure that everyone had bruises, and one guy (Ozzy?) had some pretty bad welts on his neck from it, but above all there could be some hard feelings that will come to light when the tribes merge.

I thought it interesting that despite fears that the Caucasian group would stick together, the largely Caucasian tribe selected Nate to join them (instead of, say, Adam). The other tribe is seriously weakened now.

Sorry, I can't keep the tribe names straight in my mind -- and I've actually been to Rarotonga and Aitutaki.

Members of both tribes seem more interested in getting rid of annoying people than in implementing any kind of strategy. Strange and "unSurvivorlike."

What they heck were those two thinking switching tribes! Now how could anyone trust them. Pretty stupid move. Even if they end up with the numbers - the four in the other tribe shouldn't have a difficult time pulling people over - simply point out how they made an alliance with them and now they are back with their original group!

It also strengthen the other four - unlikely to break them apart now. It was quite uplifting to see them win both challenges. Perhaps even better for them because now they lost their dead weight.

Candace obviously just wanted to get back to her cuddling arrangement with
All-American Adam (he's hot, but not worth a million bucks). Jonathan is just an impulsive idiot and I think he is going to pay for it. I just love that team of 4 now, I'd be happy if any of them win - although Yul and Ozzy are my fav's.

What I don't get is that everyone on that larger team thinks Jonathan an idiot and untrustworthy for switching teams, however, they say Candace made a gusty move. I think they're both idiots.

I just love the other team now. Hope they keep it up.

Looks like Cow Boy was right! The white folks are banding together.

It will be a challenge for the group of four to stay in the game once the tribes merge. Despite their unity and determination, they're simply outnumbered--always a bad sign in Survivor. But I'll be rooting for them--big time. I too like Yul and Ozzy. I think Ozzy may have the best chance to get to the end. He's great at the physical challenges. He might be the one who wins immunity more than once. And, of course, Yul has the immunity idol.

Yep - Cowboy was right!

Now how do you think this plays out regarding dividing the tribes along racial lines - seems only the white team stuck together. And how silly - now they got rid of all the smart people. The challenges have been both physical and mental - not too many smart people on the 80% white tribe.

However, it also shows how having a diverse group makes the team stronger. Who is winning all the challenges - the diverse group of four even though the are smaller in numbers.

Now that the tribe numbers are a bit less lopsided, I think the smaller tribe has a good chance to take over. If they win one more immunity challenge, it will be four and four. Jonathan's tribe (can't remember the name) doesn't seem able to function well together. They have a few strong players, but they don't seem able to get things together in any kind of coherent way.

The romance that's blooming should be nipped in the bud. Will the less-than-astute other tribe members do something about it? We'll see.

I'm betting that Nate will be the next to go. Why? Just a feeling.

This season is finally starting to get interesting.

I really like Ozzy. He should win but I doubt he will - he's too good.

That second vote last night was a shocker. Thank goodness it happened to that team - I don't really like anyone on that team.

I was really hoping that it would be a vote to send someone to the other tribe. That would have been fun!

Yeah, it's looking awfully white now. Didn't Jonathon make some comment an episode or two back, I think to Flicka, about keeping all the "white" folk together when the merge happens?

I'm liking Ozzy more and more, but Yul is still my fav (brains, kindness & pecs!).

I thought it was interesting that Jeff said 'the tribes might never merge". Once before that happened, remember Stephan having to stay a night by herself when everyone else was gone? Maybe they will do something like that again. I think the producers manipulate the game for better audience viewing.

Roberta nailed it! Nate gets the gate. But wait, the fate of Jonathan is now sealed, he's revealed, he's the snake and unless he's great, makes immunity his fate till the end, he's baked.

What is it with Raro? Are they sleeping? Smoking something. So exhausted from doing the hootchie (Adam) they can't see what's coming down on them? All that's left to do is make sure Candice never wins an immunity and pop (Parvati) pop (Adam) pop (Candice) they are gone.

They have walked, no, sauntered through this competition for a MILLION DOLLARS. Boy.

So do you think that Yul will really keep Jonathan to be with him in the final two?

Granted he has played this game about as smart as any player I have seen. No one has used the immunity idol to his advantage as well as Yul. In the past, most seemed selfish with it. Yul is quiet and uses his influence in such a way that seems unintimidating. The way he approached Jonathan was genus. He gave as much or as little information as possible. He knew just how to handle him.

Even though going to the end with Jonathan (if it would work that way) would pretty ensure Yul to win, I think he closeness with the four would prevent this. I think Jonathan will be the one and only that Yul will back stab and not regret or feel bad about it. And Yul could still look golden - stating how he couldn't possibly trust him after Jonathan flipping so much, etc.

You are right. I forgot the next (pop) Jonathan..

The tough choice would be between Ozzie and Yul as the final two.

I think Yul was just playing with Jonathan when he said that about the final two.

but we are way ahead of ourselves.

Yes, I thought Yul's approach was brilliant. He's a very smart guy. Very smart. And easy to like. I wonder whether he'll survive beyond the point when the immunity idol is usable. He's such a threat.

Raro is bewildering in its casual approach to just about everything. Nobody seems all that interested in getting food or keeping the camp operational or winning the game. Winning the game? They're not interested in playing the game. They're more like people on a camping vacation. Raro went from an arrogant seven to four to four to four in one week! Has anyone noticed?

I'm wondering whether Ozzy will ever lose an immunity challenge. Maybe something not requiring physicality. We'll see.

I'm trying to guess who might be next out. How the four-four numbers will play out. The idol could eliminate someone from Raro after the next challenge. Then everybody else from Raro would get picked off one by one. Then it would get interesting.

*nods agreement*

Candice is not stupid, but has stupidly stuck to dumbass Adam. Parvati isn't that stupid either, and I wouldn't be surprised, if she starts playing and stops coasting, to see her try to play Ozzy and/or Yul. Maybe this Tribal Council will wake them up.

I wouldn't be surprised (but wouldn't put money on it) if it is a Yul/Ozzy final two -- Yul stays in with his brains and subtle manipulation and the immunity idol, Ozzy by winning all the challenges. Becky, no brain slouch but hasn't shown a lot of personality, as number three. It's possible, but any given challenge can change up everything.

On the Survivor website, Candice is the most popular player, followed by Yul. Why?

Is it me, or is Ozzy starting to look like Johnny (Pirates of the Caribbean) Depp's younger brother?

Tico, Candice is the most popular player? I'm stunned. She must have a large family.

I wonder if this is a result of the combination of votes since this season started. I would venture if you compared prior jumping ship and til now - her popular votes fell.
