Okay, I admit it. I'm hooked again. Any fellow addicts care to share my pain?
I sorta of watched while unloading the groceries.
Things will heat up in the coming weeks.
I thought the parting words of the S(?) were sweet and well said."
Joe(got some good characters to watch)Nation
I didn't.
I purposely skipped it.
I've been enjoying my mostly TV-free existence and Survivor always gets me -- if I watch one, I must watch the next one.
Not sure how long I'll be able to hold out, though.
How was it?
Any details?
Yep - I did, but then again I'm not politically correct any way.
Loved the headache remedy. Does that guy still have a red line on his head though?
And that bozo girl - what was she thinking letting the chickens out.
I'm not telling you. I will not be an enabler. Why, if I told you that one tribe has a mad sachem and in another there was already some pretty heavy canoodling going on, you'd be tempted to squat down in front of your screen next week to see if the weird girl who let the chickens out gets voted off next.
Joe(god, i wish i was making this up)Nation
That headache remedy looked worse than the actual headache. I wonder how long the red mark lasts?
The parting words were well spoken, although he wouldn't have been my choice to vote off. I'd have gone with the woman who failed to bond with any of her tribe mates.
And sozobe-- you want to watch, you KNOW that you do! Join us. Come over to the dark side. Gaze into the warm comforting glow of the TV tube. It wants you. It misses you....
The red mark supposed to last as long as the poison does (or so that guy said) - a few days.
But that the guy did annoy me - one of those all talk, but he had to keep taking breaks type.
Did you find it odd who they booted to the island? I would have thought they would have chosen some one from the first winning team - try to weaken the strongest opponent. I guess they were upset about the chicken.
Yeah, but it wasn't even their chicken. As I understood it, he swiped the Asian tribe's chicken.
I'd have exiled the buffest looking guy, hoping that a couple nights in the cold without food might weaken him substantially.
I will have to admit that there was a brief moment in time when I thought blacksmithn was a decent king of guy, the kind of guy that I might tip a few beers with, the kind of guy that I might leave my hat to when I die.
But now I discover that he watches reality tv shows and I feel violated. I feel cheap and I feel dirty.
And I do believe that I now hate blacksmithn.
The bastard.
The cheap, dirty, hat-questing bastard.
I hate him so.
I think that Gus knows that Blacksmithn is a shut-in. Completely disabled by a horrific accident which also removed his sense of smell, his only pleasures in life come from the few hours a day when his eyes focus enough for him to see the small tv in his pathetic little room.
Yet Gus would remove even this small joy from his life.
I am the one who is shocked. Shock at the inhumanity of it all.
I know that Blacksmithn longs for the day he can wear Gus's hat on his cruelly mis-shapened head, but still... . Is there no pity?
Joe(Must everything have a serious purpose??)Nation
For the record, I'm only a shut-in by choice-- I choose to insulate myself from a world populated by temperamental rural coots, albeit with fine taste in headwear-- and dream of a world where all mankind participates joyfully together in tribal competition with the ultimate goal of totally annihilating each other, plumbing new depths of degradation and humiliation with each passing episodic day.
The shape of my head is just fine, thank you.
So you say.
Joe(we are with you.)Nation
So he says.

Enough about head shapes and hats. You peoples is weird. Yes, I watched. What else have I got to do? Work, worry, and watch. That's my life.
I'm rooting for the chickens. I wonder if they'll populate the island as a foreign species, wreaking havoc on the environment. The girl who let them go is tres strange. The man who was voted off shouldn't have taken a nap after trying to make a fire.
Exile island looks truly horrible. It's got less square footage than my apartment.
Can't decide which ethnic group to root for. Each time I lean in one direction or another, I feel narrow and bigoted. I'm rooting against the white folks. Can't go wrong there, politically correctly speaking.
Waiting to see how the merges work. Not crazy about three immunities and the trisected immunity idol.

Just as the first challenge came on, the condo association president knocked on my door wanting to discuss condo politics. (So I missed the whole thing about the immunity, the challenge itself, the exile, etc. Dammit!) She wants to oust a board member and was collecting signatures. Real life Survivor! But the people aren't as pretty.

Look at that box they rent to you every month from the Cable company, look at the remote for that box.... there is a button on it that says:
RECORD.
Usually it is red.
Joe(Or don't answer the door)Nation
I'm a Luddite. No cable. Red buttons scare me.
But point taken ~ never ever answer the door on Thursday between 8 and 9 p.m.
I liked the spoof Mad TV did....
I watched! I'm an unapologetic Survivor junkie.
I think it looks like it will be an interesting season. I wasn't at all surprised to see who they booted off.
Exile Island does look desolate; where in the heck could they have hidden the immunity idol?
Right now I'm liking the Vietnamese guy. I'm a sucker for oddballs. I thought it was hilarous that other Asian guy was more worried about walking around "marred" with a pinch mark than by having to deal with headache.
