I have columns going vertically that might look like this (if I can make it work):

************* WEEK #_ ********************
For The Week: ******* Cumulative:
Win/Loss Rank ******* Win/Loss **%** Rank

Moving right along, suppose that in Week #1, Player A goes 12 and 4 and Player B goes 10 and 6. The score board would read:
A. 12/4 1 ***** 12/4 .750 1
B. 10/6 2 ***** 10/6 .625 2

Week #2 would look the same except the Cumulative would add week 2 to the Cumulative from Week #1.

Is this really doable?

Your selections must be posted here before the start of the 1st game (Sept 7 @ 8:30 pm). All times are ET.

A Gentle Plea from Johnboy: please check to be sure that you have made a selection in each of the games and don't forget to predict the total number of points scored in the last game.

Sorry, Gus. You didn't get your picks in on time. The rules state that all selections must be in before the start of the first game. That was Thursday at about 8:30 pm. I don't want to have the authority to bend the rules. If a bunch of people plead on your behalf (via pm or publically), perhaps something can be done. But I am not going to act unilatterally.

Yah, yah, the rest of us made it...
Gus can do the acerbic commentary as a free spirit... (who picked Pittsburgh).

So here we go! Nine games starting in just a few minutes. We are closely divided in our picks on a number of them. I may be back with a half-time report. And I will give an update around about the time the late games start.

I have Randy Moss, a wide receiver from Oakland, in the Fantasy League. Mr Moss states: "It's crazy around here, man."

There is an old adage (or, if there isn't, there ought to be) to the effect that the defense in football matures faster than the offense. That , I think, is reflected in the scores in the nine early games today.

Looks like I have 5 right and 5 wrong so far. How very dismal.
I looked over everybody else's quickly and quickly got confused, but remember that George's picks were lookin' good.

Indeed, osso, you are 5-5 in the games played so far. None of us is doing too well. I have Cowdoc, George and Fbaezer at 7-3. Everyone else is at 6-4 or 5-5 or 4-6.
But then there is johnboy at 3-7.

I see the Packers are getting bitch-slapped. Why am I not surprised?

I have watched a lot of football games today and what I have discovered is a very competitive league. There are some teams, such as Detroit, who look surprisingly good. Also, the Rams didn't look too bad.

Everyone was well represented.

Except the Packers.

Oh my friggin' Lord! That team is beyond pathetic.

My sympathies go out to Sozobe and Occom Bill. They are in for a tortuous season.

13 games done in week #1. And at 9-4 are Cowdoc, George, Fbaezer and, where did she come from, J-B. Everyone else is above water except for JPinMilw, Pantalones, and Tico at 6-7. And then there is Johnboy straggling in at 5-8.

What happened with CoTL, he was doing well last I looked, but that was before these last three games.
