Merry Christmas to everyone!

And, RJB, thanks again for commissioning this rogue, defunct nfl pick'em league! (Of course, it's easy to be in good spirits when you're in first place. Smile I am still in first place, aren't I? Confused )

I'll try and get my predicions in manyana.

Far be it for me to want to make anyone feel badly, but with only a couple of exceptions, the rest of us as a group had a pretty fine Week #15.
Indy's win over Cincy got Liontamer even with Osso at 12-4 and based on the tiebreaker, Liontamer wins for the week. Well done.
Lion becomes the 13th different weekly winner. Proving picking prowess parity prevails.
Realjohnboy, Region, Cowdoc and Chiso at 11-5 were only one game back. Panzade, Ms Cowdoc, JPinMilw, Cjhsa and Pantalones finished at 10-6, as did the best ESPN picker. Jespah, Fbaezer and the worst picker on ESPN came in at 9-7. Tico broke even at 8-8. And JPB crossed the line, not pathetically but rather with her head held high, at 4-12.
And then there is the story of Sublime. He missed the first two games but then tore through the rest of the schedule to finish at 11-3. I wonder who he would have chosen in the SF-Seattle and Dallas-Atlanta games. I hope he learned a lesson about the price of procrastination.
Kickycan, Child of Light and George turned up missing this week.

And the YTD standings through 15 weeks and 224 games:

1) Chiso (135-73) (.649) (1st last week)
2) Kickycan (68-38) (.642) (2nd but headed for inactive status)
3) Cowdoc (142-82) (.634) (3rd)
*) Best ESPN Dude (138-86) (.616) (4th)
4) Sublime (117-74) (.613)) (6th)
5) JPinMilw (135-89) (.603) (4th)
6) Child of Light (115-77) (.599) (5th)
7) Region (134-90) (.598) (7th)
8) LionTamer (116-79) (.595) (9th)
9) Pantalones (133-91) (.594) (7th)
10) Osso (132-92) (.589) (10th)
11) Realjohnboy (124-100) (.554) (11th)
*) Worst ESPN Guy (124-100) (.554) (11th)
12) Ms Cowdoc (19-16) (.543) (Not ranked)
13) Fbaezer (121-103) (.540) (13th)
14) George (112-96) (.538) (13th)
15) Panzade (44-36) (.537) (16th)
16) Tico (120-104) (.536) (13th)
17) JPB (117-102) (.534) (11th)
18) Jespah (111-113) (.496) (17th)
19) Cjhsa (63-74) (.460) (18th)

Chiso (at .649) has the slimmest of leads over Cowdoc (at .634). By my rough calculations, Cowdoc needs to outpick Chiso by something like 3 games in the final two weeks. It's muddied by the fact that Chiso missed a week somehere along the way so his winning percentage, based on total games picked in, is in a slightly different orbit.
Notice how tightly bunched the standings are beween Sublime in 4th (.613) and Osso in 10th (.589) and also between Ms Cowdoc in 12th (.543) and JPB in 17th (.534).

There is still a lot of opportunity for folks in those packs to move up or down in the standings if he/she has a really good or really bad week.
Thank yall for playing.

I awoke from a dream all lathered in butter. (12 beats)
(A different story; unlike any other).

And up on the roof I heard such a clutter; (11 beats)
I threw on my clothes and opened the shutter.

There up on my roof were folks like Subliime, (10 beats)
Kicky and Child an Cjhsa (no rhyme).

And, yes, JPinMilwaukee (9 beats)
Also, of course, there was Panzade

JPB and osso were there. (8 beats)
George, Cowdoc and his Ms so fair.

I rubbed the sleep from my eyes (7 beats)
and heard Realjohnboy's voice rise:

GET YOU PICKS IN FOR THE GAME'S STARTING TOMORROW.

Then from up in the woods (6 beats)
On closing the shutter
I heard a guffaw (5 beats)
that made me shudder.

SEEMS TO BE GUS. (4 beats)

Yes, Cowdoc, but hey, I was busy writing poetry. Ms Cowdoc has a score of 19-13. I will reflect that next week.

Good afternoon to yall. I hope that by now yall are where you wanted to be. I made one last run to Kroger this morning for a few last minute items.

We ended up with just 13 NFL pickers this week, missing Panzade, George, Child, Kicky, Sublime and, surprisingly, JPinMilw.

We all agree that Chicago, Indy and San Diego will win today. In the games we disagree on, Osso, Cjhsa and Johnboy are the good girl and boys, scoring Deviant points in the single digits.
Walking on the wild side are Ms Cowdoc and Fbaezer with about 40 points each.

I mentioned how close Chiso and Cowdoc are in the standings. This week they differ on four games I say four games. Chiso has Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Washington and the NY Jets. Cowdoc has Buffalo, Baltimore, St Louis and Miami. The majority of us agree with Cowdoc. He has 11 Deviant points while Chiso has 23.
