Eric Clapton - Mean Old Frisco

Well that mean old dirty Frisco
And that low down Santa Fe.
Mean old Frisco
And that low down Santa Fe.
You know they take my girl away,
Lord, and blow back out on me.

Well my mama, she done told me,
And my papa told me too.
Mama told me
And my papa told me too.
A woman that gets in your face,
Lord she ain't no friend for you.

Well I'm goin' away now baby
And I won't be back until fall.
Goin' away, baby.
Lord, I won't be back till fall.
If I don't come back by then,
Lord, I won't be back at all.

Well that mean old dirty Frisco
And that low down Santa Fe.
Mean old Frisco
And that low down Santa Fe.
Gonna take my gal away,
Lord, and blow back out on me.

I remembered a little thing I did last year.
ESPN has a panel of 7 "EXPERTS" who pick the NFL games. There is an
8th, but he doesn't pick games he is announcing.
2 of these EXPERTS share the lead at 30-16 through Week #3.
5 of us are feeling sorry for ourselves for being 30-16. 5 of us are better than the best ESPN dudes.
The worst guy on ESPN is 26-20. All but 2 of us here are better than that!

Hey, if it weren't for my Green Bay stubborness, I'd be 26-20 too.

That's what she said.

...meant to comment on this when you wrote it. Some guy addictively repeating that phrase all night in a bar playing pool is all that comes to mind. Probably a hundred times that one night, easy. Hilarious!

Week #4 is underway. We stumbled a bit, getting 16 players vs the full roster of 18. Kickycan probably is still alseep; and McGentrix, although on A2K, elected not to play. Sigh.
14 games this week.
We are evenly split in the New Orleans vs Carolina game. We are unanimous in no game.
Osso gets the Ms Consistency award, never differing from the majority in any game. Johnboy differs in only one game: Cleveland vs Oakland. Two really bad teams. Is it possible they both could lose?
Not surprisingly, given her track record, Jespah is in the minority on 7 games.
But raising a few eyebrows here at A2K NFL Control, is Region. He is in the minority on 5 games. And he knows something about football. Oh, dear. This does not bode well.
As for Deviant Points, Osso and Johnboy are at 0 and 2; Jespah is at 56, while JPB, Fbaezer, Edgar, Region and JPinMilw are clustered around the 30.
I will check in around 4:30 ET. A lot of the disagreement in picking is in the early games.

The early games are over with.
Looking smart out there in Idaho or wherever is Cowdoc at 7-1. Jespah and Chiso (watch out for Chiso, folks) are at 6-2. Then there are the rest of us, except for Liontamerx at 3-5 and JPB at 2-6.
Who woulda thunk that KC would whip SF 41-0?

J_B, perhaps the time has come for you to bow out with grace. You are well-loved in this community and the majority of the members would not think less of you if you were to make such a decision.

Be brave. Do it.

You are embarrassing yourself.

I am very happily wrong today in the case of the Texans. Unhappy to be right about the Cowboys.

Edgar: I guess that made sense
Gus: It is better to have played and lost than never to have played at all.

For the record, who woulda thunk that KC could do that to the Niners? That would be me, out here in Idaho.:-)
