Actually, its not that silly a question - especially if one has a partner one is active with. Does anyone else out there have any conflict sometimes about feeling like you're taking something from your partner if you do it with yourself?

hmm..
I do sometimes.
Simply because, after I have had good sex, I dont necessarily want more for a few days.
With the lack of physical feelings , I tend to forget, and push it to the wayside
and that is , in a slight way, taking away from the mister.
but not too much..

Yeah, that's exactly it. If I "take advantage of myself" (a line I got years ago from a Tom Waits song), then my girl wants to be with me soon after, I don't always feel up to it, and then I wish I hadn't. Because with a partner to me is much more intense release, just to name one thing. It's just convenient with myself, and I don't have much impulse control sometimes...

Sometimes it's 2-4 weeks since we last had sex, if I didn't do it myself I wouldn't last 1 min. in bed with wife. Plus the pressure build up would be dangerous! We'd have to wear eye protection, and I think I'd be able to shoot a hole in the wall. My "boys" are still connected and we use no other birth control.
