They called the house today and talked with my mom and it's looking good.

Only problem now is they can't get in touch with my references, so I hope they try again tomorrow.

Maybe you should call them (your references) and let them know to expect a call?

I had forgotten that it was a holiday in the states yesterday, which is why they couldn't contact two of my references, so I'm going to call them back this morning and have them try again.

Thanks so much you guys! I found out at 3pm this afternoon and even though I worked a 13 hour shift today and yesterday, I was in an awesome mood all day and night :-D

My boss told me this morning that she got the call yesterday and after explaining to her my reason for leaving (my health), she smilled and told me that it was ok. She said that she is happy for me and that I was much too smart to be working at the shop anyway and she could never figure out why the hell I was there in the first place.
Then she wished me luck and told me that if I ever wanted to come back, there would always be a job there for me :-D
