No ... it's primary function is to prosecute its agenda.

Oh horseshyt, Ti.

The primary function of the ACLU is to defend the constitution of the United States...

...mostly from the conservative as sholes who pretend to be patriots but who are trying to remake this country in their own sicko image.

The mission of the ACLU is to preserve all of these protections and guarantees:

Your First Amendment rights-freedom of speech, association and assembly. Freedom of the press, and freedom of religion supported by the strict separation of church and state.

Your right to equal protection under the law - equal treatment regardless of race, sex, religion or national origin.

Your right to due process - fair treatment by the government whenever the loss of your liberty or property is at stake.

Your right to privacy - freedom from unwarranted government intrusion into your personal and private affairs.

--ACLU.org

Unfortunately, the right, which is not about protecting the minority against the weight of the government and the majority, is against these protections and guarantees.

Since they are constantly shooting off their mouths about love of country and love of our freedoms...

...makes you wonder why they are not all "card carrying" members of the ACLU.

But we all know American conservatives are all lyric and no music.

One opinion on the ACLU

Quote:
Oh, there's so much wrong that the ACLU does that this is a hard question to answer. I guess my best answer is what I try to judge all political decisions on -- freedom. What's most wrong with the ACLU? They honestly hate freedom. The ACLU works as hard as they can to destroy freedom anywhere they can.

Sure, they claim to be for "civil liberties," but that's an outright lie. The ACLU is a communist organization that's primary purpose for existing is to destroy the American way of life. They dislike freedom. They dislike Democracy. They think everyone is an idiot and must be controlled.

I know this is contrary to what the ACLU claims -- but how much support do you think they could get if they actually told the truth -- that their ultimate goal is total communism in America? They know that wouldn't be supported, so they won't tell you that's what they want.

The ACLU are liars who hate freedom. You might claim, as some often do, that they do some good. Well would it make you feel better about a child molester to learn that he volunteered at the soup kitchen when not molesting, kidnapping, and murdering children?

The only reason the ACLU, on occasion, takes a case that appears good is to continue towards their goals -- obtain money under any pretenses to advance their goal of communism. There are no redeeming features of the ACLU.

There's a bill in Congress now that will seriously reduce funding for the ACLU -- from taxpayers. Yes, you, the taxpayer, pay the largest portion of the funds that the ACLU spends to take your freedoms away. Ask your CongressCritter to support that bill and let you keep your money away from the group that supports terrorists, murderers, and child molesters.

When you post a C&P opinion piece like that, why don't you post the source with it-

I didn't realize that the Young Republicans received taxpayer support. I'm, of course, enraged.

Here's another line from the same blog, I guess McG missed because it is equally moronic.

"Have you seen Stoptheaclu.org and stoptheaclu.org? The ACLU was founded by communists, run by communists, and supports communist goals. That's the new home of the communist part in America."

I believe that was an added comment.

I believe the ACLU would defend these statements... freedom of speech, right?

Makes you wonder what kind of law ticomaya the lowyer practices in this country if he questions anything about the ACLU, since he can't believe or support our Constitution or Bill of Rights.

What a fantastic notion, McG, that anyone would waste their time discussing anything with someone who could post what you just posted. That opinion piece begs hundreds of questions.

As an opinion piece, it could have ended after the first sentence. I guess you just figured the rest was proof substantiating the premise. Dys was being overly generous when he said it was moronic.

One last question. Who posted it?
