@jcboy,
I was looking for the thread where you first started posting your cooking lessons.

You've come a long way baby! you're a family man.

Much love and respect to you

@ehBeth,
OMG that was so long ago, I hated the stove, especially the electric one. Plus I had no one to cook for so I had no desire to learn Razz

We've had quite a few anniversary's Razz the Puerto Rican is still a keeper, until he turns 40 then I may have to trade him in for two twenty year olds Razz

@jcboy,
I love Mexican - and we've just found a new Mexican restaurant that we intend to try very soon, looking forward to it!

@vonny,
I think for Sunday dinner I'll make a roast, potatoes and carrots.

We've decided on dinner out tonight. I feel like some good sushi. Unless I change my mind when I get there and have the salmon teriyaki.

@jcboy,
Melon slices on a bed of rocket, with feta cheese, cherry tomatoes and pomegranate seeds, plus fresh spelt and sourdough bread - a very light salad, refreshing on a hot day.

'Sfunny

I read jcboy's comment on the chicken parmy not being as good as his own, and laughed. I recall his very early cooking attempts.

Then, on the next page, Beth has recalled his early posts, when the cute Puerto Rican was new!

How much your life has changed - just because you met someone who could cook (or something) !!!

I laughed at the remark following on the smoke detector.

Congrats to you both.

Sautéed oyster mushrooms (I splurged!), celery, onion in ghee, olive oil; on a bed of lettuces with all four of DIL’s Morher’s Day 🌿 herbs! So yummy! Tabasco sauce, just ‘cause!

My roast with potatoes and carrots is in the oven.

Last night was sushi night, we also ordered the salmon and chicken teriyaki, everything was delicious as usual. The kids have grown to like sushi and I never thought that would happen.

All of us flew to Florida for St. Pete Pride. Got to visit a lot of friends. Aunt Isabel watched the kids while the Rican and I went to the festival, we didn’t stay for the night parade because it didn’t start until almost 8PM so we took off to dinner at Park Shore Grill on Beach Drive.

We ordered the calamari, the Rican had the streak and I had the Lobster Pasta, which was delicious but too much for me to eat.

we had leftovers of a pasta florentine I made last night

I had such a brainmelt last night. Knew what I was making when I was making it - then when I wanted to tell my dad about it, I couldn't get my brain back to florentine.

honestly the jarred version is pretty dang good
