Dinner tonight - or last night.

They were just okay, nothing special. I probably would not buy them again, I ran out of time to cook that's the only reason I bought them.

Tonight I planned and prepared a chicken with stuffing recipe I found online. It was easy to prepare and put together....took about 20 minutes to pull everything together and then stuff it in my oven for 30 minutes to become tonights dinner. I have a lovey double oven set up and preheated the oven, placed the dish inside and 35 minutes later I pulled it out and voila, it was cold. Apparently I heated one oven, then placed the casserole into the other. I am so irritated, I'm typing this as I wait for the damned thing to cook properly.

Hopefully, the recipe works out or I'm selling the house.

It was actually really good. Have you done any improvising over the last couple of days?

I had Scampi, chips and garden peas. Yum.

Last night was a little chilly here so I made a beef stew. Slow cooked it in the over at 250 for four hours, had it with sour dough bread and butter.

I love Beef Stew!!!!

I never cook it on the stove, always slow roast it in the oven, it came out pretty tender, we may have it again tonight since I made such a big pot

I've done it both ways, the temperature has to be low and slow.

Tonight I'm just going to make a meatloaf with mashed potatoes and brown gravy, easy poesy dinner.

Tonight I think I'll make Beef Stroganoff for dinner. I don't need a recipe for that, quick and easy to make.

I'm going to make a big pot of Gumbo today.

My Gumbo came out pretty good. Tonight I'm making beef stroganoff. I'm using rib eye steaks for the strips of meat. I don't even need a recipe for this.

I told Joy last week I haven't made Stroganoff in years. Now I'm going to have to. The local butcher was selling prime trim for stew meat.

We've got a load of cheese after going to Frome cheese show.

I made a quiche last night, (no milk,) and tried spaghetti carbona for the first time a couple of days ago.

I had a truffle set from TK max, truffle olive oil, chopped truffles in a jar and truffles in a cream, also in a jar.

I used the truffles and oil a while back, but carbona is the only recipe I could think of for the cream.

How did your Carbona (or Carbonara) turn out? I have a recipe from a US TV chef for carbonara that's easy and delicious. I can't remember her name right now but she's the niece of a director or film maker.......sorry, I'm too lazy to look for the book right now..........I need to go to sleep.

Bothkid said they yhought it was the best carbonara they'd had, which was nice.

I'm making it again tonight.

It's so satisfying to make a really good meal.
