If you go to an emergency room and have resources. I may be wrong however I believe you will get a bill in the mail.

Not only will you get a bill in the mail but you will be considerably harrassed and hounded to pay it and turned over for collection if you resist and will see your credit score diminished considerably.

I've known quite a few employers who've employd tons of illegals, and I'd wager the majority collect taxes for them just as they do the legals.

Tell me Foxy, if security is your concern, why are you against Mexican's having medical emergencies treated? Are you afraid a terrorist is going to dress up as a Mexican and blow up a hospital?

I think you have misunderstood most of the pro-enforcement side of this entire debate. When you by implication accuse me of wanting to deny emergency treatment to Mexicans, that is not only dishonest and unprovable but I think it is also a red herring intended to deflect the discussion from the actual issue being discussed. I think you have intentionally avoided the issues being discussed and rather bring in unrelated issues or invent issues that are easier for you to attack.

I commented clearly in favor of emergency treatment for illegals, which others were commenting clearly opposed to... and you seemed to snidely comment that I had missed the point.

If that's true; tell me what the friggin point is, and I'll be able to answer your question. In other words: end the idiotic dance, answer the question and I'll be happy to explain why, if my statement was out of line and retract it if need be.

nobody was making any point opposing emergency treatment for illegals or Mexicans. They WERE commenting on the point in the letter that legal immigrants and citizens can't expect free medical treatment, emergency or otherwise, that the law requires to be furnished to the illegals no questions asked.

I know it is a subtlety difficult for some to discern, but that was one of the reasons the writer of the letter wanted to become illegal.

We were neither discussing security (red herring) nor have I at any time even suggesting Mexicans or anybody else should not have medical emergencies treated. That's what I asked you to either prove or retract. And as for a terrorist dressing up as a Mexican and blowing up a hospital, you can't build a much bigger red herring than that.

Well I personally am very much in favor of people who want to move here legally and be productive members of our society and hope Congress will get off their timid behinds and do something to make that happen. Along those same lines, I am all for OGOINIK putting his money where his mouth is and moving someplace of which he can better approve.

If someone wants to move into your house and sit at your table without permission or even asking would you object if they were productive members of society.

What would you say if we allowed all to enter but refused to give them food stamps, emergency medical treatment, education to their children, and any social services?
