@cicerone imposter,
That is BS and you know it. Our current govt encourages illegal immigration every chance it gets. The lack of enforcement and the give away's to illegals like they are citizens.

Most legal immigrants are wealthy? Do you have any facts to back that up? You have made a few comments here with no proof but your opinion. Didn't you just got on someone's case about opinion masquerading as fact?

@Baldimo,
Me:

I'm not aware of illegal immigration increasing. Airports and seaports are pretty strict on who can even go on airplanes and cruises. I think the Mexico-US border and tourists visiting the US may overstay, but the statistics on illegal immigrants probably remains pretty static.

You're batting 1,000 on being wrong!~ Aren't you embarrassed about yourself?
You're one of the dumbest posters on a2k. You don't know anything, and prove it over and over and over.....

@cicerone imposter,
How do they know where they are from or how many have entered if they are illegal and are not reporting that they are in the US?

Is this based off of questions they asked the people who were caught?

And it is true, that Obama and his ilk do encourage illegal immigration. They have said as much when they choose who to deport and who not to deport. If you are a good illegal, we will let you stay. Do you honestly think this doesn't encourage more illegal immigration?

Dude stop with the name calling. You are one of the most rude people on this whole site. Give it a rest already. If you think you are winning points you are wrong, you are just being rude.

I guess, the power of pardon (federal and state) encourages severe crimes like murder as well?

@Walter Hinteler,
You can think that if you want, but Murder and immigration are not even in the same category. Unrealistic comparison.

Look at what happened after the 1980's amnesty. I have read reports that 2.9 million illegals came forward to accept the amnesty. At this point in the US we have between 11 million and 20 million illegal aliens. Do you think amnesty solved the US problems since then? Nope it has gotten worse and has exploded since the 80's.

Baldimo 'never' knows what he's talking about. Here's the real lowdown on the control of illegal immigrants.

It's not even 'opinion' that he thought up all by himself; he's only parroting what he learned on Faux News.

@RABEL222,
Both of you can piss off, I've been traveling for work.

Here's some info for yeah.

Quote:
About three million illegal immigrants were granted legal status through this act

Now what other part of my garbage are you referring too? The fact that there is an estimated 11-20 million illegals in the US?

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/09/24/us/immigrant-population-shows-signs-of-growth-estimates-show.html?_r=0

The article above says we maxed out at 12 million in 2007 but I think that # is low. After all we are talking about "undocumented immigrants". They are using estimation from census #'s. Here's the question about the census, do they ask people during the census if they are US citizens? No they do not. So how do we know if the #'s are correct? We don't, they are using educated guesses.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/sep/9/nearly-20m-illegal-immigrants-us-ex-border-patrol/

Agents who work the border do not agree with the #'s given out by the govt. They see people crossing and they know that they are only catching a portion of the people who cross the border. Which #'s are correct? Hard to tell since we don't really ask people if they are citizens on the census.

@Baldimo,
Hey, dummy, that's the 'last' immigration reform bill signed into law in 1986. That's over one-quarter century old. OLD and outdated. Do you understand? The public wants a NEW IMMIGRATION REFORM LAW. NEW.

Ya, we just dont know what we want the new law to be...a bit of a problem dont ya think?

Our May 2013 survey found that 75% believed immigration policy needed at least major changes, with 35% saying it needed to be “completely rebuilt.” Yet the broad public agreement that immigration policy should be revamped was not matched by consensus on how to deal with illegal and legal immigration.

@hawkeye10,
That's what the government should be able to do; find compromise and come up with a law.

Why do you think the present congress has the worst rating in history?

One guess.

@cicerone imposter,
Another added problem on border control.
Quote:
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — President Barack Obama has designated nearly a half-million acres of rugged desert terrain along the U.S.-Mexico border as the nation's newest national monument.

The proclamation on Wednesday heightened criticism from some lawmakers in the West and local law enforcement agents who see the move as a threat to security in a region where the influence of Mexican drug cartels, human smuggling and illegal immigration are all apparent.

That's easy, stop ALL immigration regardless of whether it's illegal or legal..Smile
We don't want them invading England to take our jobs, housing and welfare!
Why have they abandoned their own countries like rats deserting a sinking ship anyway?

You don't read very well do you? I mentioned the old amnesty to remind you of how it didn't work to lower illegal immigration in the least.

@Baldimo,
That's the dumbest reason to post anything that old.

If you look in almost every legislation that's over 25 years old, you'll find many that were not enforced.

Most laws doesn't satisfy all the people all the time. Get used to it!

Why do you continue to make an stupid arse out of yourself with stupid, ignorant shyt!

@cicerone imposter,
Here's the reasons why they fail; they're not doing their jobs.

Quote:
Federal Law Enforcement

A federal law enforcement agency is an organizational unit, or subunit, of the federal government with the principle functions of prevention, detection, and investigation of crime and the apprehension of alleged offenders. Examples of federal law enforcement agencies include the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Secret Service, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF). BJS has surveyed federal law enforcement agencies seven times since 1993. The 2008 Census of Federal Law Enforcement Officers (FLEO) included agencies that employed full-time officers with federal arrest authority who were also authorized (but not necessarily required) to carry firearms while on duty. The officer counts exclude officers in the U.S. Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard), the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and the Transportation Security Administration’s Federal Air Marshals. Findings are based on the 2008 Census of Federal Law Enforcement Officers.

@cicerone imposter,
What are you on about? Do you understand that Reagans amnesty did nothing to lessen the impact of illegal immigration. That is the point. You think doing more changes to our immigration policy is going to lessen the impact of illegal immigration? We makes changes now and let people bypass the rules, and we will be looking at 50 million illegal aliens 25 years from now. It will solve nothing. That is the point. Stop being an asshole just because you don't like what I post.

You are no better than CJ. You 2 are of the same ilk. Degrade those you disagree with.
