I hope what I said doesn't translate into male chauvinist. My grandma, my sister, and my mom all pick better fruit then me, my dad and my grad dad. But I have never seen any evidence of racial inferior seat watching. Laughing

This is ridiculous.

Isn't it a violation of the TOS to make personal attacks on people? You should be careful you don't trip over your giant ego like this again, Mr. Cool.

I see that tolerance of others is not the strong suit of people in this thread.

I'm really good at picking bananas, mmmm...when they're just perfect, not too sweet.

I bought a papaya once, it looked like it would be really sweet, but tasted like styrofoam....where'd I go wrong?

I always ask little kids to watch my seat...they think I'm giving them something important to do, then, they promptly forget within 30 seconds.

If you did that with Belladea sitting next to you, I'm sure she'd start another thread crying about the injustice of it all.

I'm wondering what the point of this thread was, actually. Did she start it with the thought that she was pointing out a wrong that must be righted? Did she just want to whine? Is this the biggest problem she has in her life right now? My god, it must be horrible going through life with such troubles. Being racially discriminated against all the time like that must be just terrible.

And black people think they have it bad. I'm sure they think they have problems with racist behavior, but just look at what this poor white girl had to go through! Where is Martin Luther King when you need him! lol

Oh, it wouldn't let me in, either, when I just tried. That's probably why Tico gave instructions the way she did, no direct link possible. I'll try this:

https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/demo/measureyourattitudes.html

Then click on "I wish to proceed", then "Race IAT."

I got this...:

Quote:
You have completed the Black-White IAT.
The line immediately below summarizes the results of your task performance.

Your data suggest little to no automatic preference between African American and White American.

And then this...

Quote:
You have completed the GAY PEOPLE-STRAIGHT PEOPLE IAT.
The line immediately below summarizes the results of your task performance.

Your data suggest a slight automatic preference for Straight People compared to Gay People.

Odd, I woulda expected any negative bias to come up in the first, rather than the second. Let me try one more...

Quote:
You have completed the Family - Career IAT.
The line immediately below summarizes the results of your task performance.

Your data suggest a slight association of Male with Career and Female with Family compared to Female with Career and Male with Family.

Slight? Ahead of the test I would have said, yes, slight - but it was during this test that I suddenly became strongly aware of a bias - I made several mistakes (whereas I'd made one in all in the other two tests), clicking family items to where "female" was even though the test was coupling female with career, and the like ... interesting. Caught my own prejudice as being: male stuff = career stuff = bad stuff.

OK, one more - but damn, they do take time!

Ok, wait. Huh?

Quote:
You have completed the Presidential Popularity IAT.
The line immediately below summarizes the results of your task performance.

Your data suggest little to no automatic preference between John F. Kennedy and George W. Bush.

Your ignorance is laughable. It really is.

Don't you have something better to do? Or do you enjoy making a fool of yourself?

Well if anyone knows about ignorance, I'd guess it would be you. Trying to make this tempest in a teapot into something important enough to discuss is a good example of that.

Are you always so melodramatic?

No, usually I'm quite nice. But if you are looking for someone to spank your little bottom, I'd be more than willing to accomodate that request.
