Hello everybody and thanks for routing me over here MA.
Last season they did the "pick the group" thing too and made Bo do it. He diplomatically positioned himself halfway beween the two groups and wouldn't budge. I sorta thought Taylor would do the same thing this year.
I don't have my money on anybody just yet, but if you don't watch and just listen, I do believe Taylor has the best and most consistent voice. But as we all know, it isn't always the best voice that takes the prize. If it was, Gedeon would still be with us.
Well, we just got to watch the show in the Mountain Time Zone, and, as Yogi said, it was deja vu all over again. The kids were all almost as bad as they were three weeks ago. Without a doubt, Kellie was the worst, though. If I had to pick the ones I thought did best, I'd have to go with Chris and Katherine, in that order. The rest were all mediocre, at best, in my book.
I don't know who did the best, but I am almost positive that Paula Abdul was drunk tonight.

Well, if I had to pick winners based on tonight's performance, Elliott took a commanding lead closely followed by Paris. The judges are obviously hoping kat and Chris are the final two, but I am in no way convinced they are the best. Taylor put himself at risk tonight, but I don't see him being voted off. But then Kellie has been consistently #3 on the straw polls even after last week, so she is probably safe another week too. So who is the big loser tonight?
And hi Doc
In ranking order of who I think did the best:
Chris
Elliott
Paris
Kat (I liked her performance!)
Taylor
Kellie
I think Kellie is going home. But I wouldn't be suprised if it were Taylor. He just didn't do well last night.
I CANNOT believe that Kat got to sing with Andrea Bocelli!! I am so jealous. Oh my god, I would have wet myself...and what's more she sounded great with him! And that is an amazing thing because Andrea is in fact one of the greatest vocalists that ever walked the planet.
Kelly needs to go tonight.
Everyone else did okay.
Elliot was good, but certainly didn't make me cry like Paula, and I'm currently on heavy hormones. What must she have been on?
I thought the order for best performance last night went:
1. Elliott
2. Chris
3. Paris
4. Taylor
5. Kat
6. Kellie
Taylor's song choice hurt him, but he sang reasonably well. At least he stays on pitch. Elliott was the most believable as well as being extremely talented. Chris is consistently good; however, he is also consistently lacks that spark that makes you believe that he loves what he is doing. And he also is a rocker and will go back to the hard stuff as soon as we get through the gentler genres. (I hate the hard stuff).
Kat has pitch problems in the lower registers and also loses perfect pitch and voice quality whenever she turns up the volume. She is no Whitney Huston. (Simon raved about her performance last week, but if you listen to it without watching, you can hear the problems.)
Paris is absolutely awesome as a 17-year-old, but I don't think she yet has the charisma necessary to go to the top.
And Kellie. Well.......personally think both Kat and Kellie have peaked.
I like the hard stuff and Chris is my man... but Elliott has the best voice and if he won I'd be happy... McPhee is awesome... taylor is a bar band performer.... Paris is a legacy so her career is made in any case and Pickler.... well she needs to head back on down east and get a job putting out crab pots....
Sorry Kellie. Well, it's really going to be getting rough from here on out. I sure hope that my Taylor realizes he had better do his thing and make some awesome song choices, otherwise I'd say Chris and Katherine will be in the top two.
I hate being right all the time....
I'm not that bothered by the eye candy leaving. She was so cute though. I hope Hef is calling her right now for a pictorial spreeeeeaaaaad, if you know what I mean...anyway, what I really want to say is: How much of the drama and the tension between Simon and Paula and Paula and Ryan and Simon and Ryan and Randy and...how much of that is real, and how much is just playing to the cameras?
And do we all agree that Ryan is a complete dickweed?
ARRRRRGH!!! Our cable cut out right after the song....didn't get to see who was voted out. Kellie's gone? That's the correct choice. Was it Taylor at the bottom with her? Paris? Who?
Paris and Kellie were the bottom two. Elliot and Taylor were told right away that they were safe.
I think the stuff between Paula, Randy, Simon, and Ryan is more put on than anything else.
I think Paula and Simon are screwing.
That's the only explanation for their behavior. Foreplay.
Glad Kellie is gone, only because she just wasn't good enough.
Has anyone heard what the song genre is for next week, or do they get to choose on their own from here on out?
next week is line dance week.... I predict Taylor Hicks will pick The Macarena... he's got such great moves.....

What? Are you joking?
Oh good god...this should be interesting...I can't wait to see Chris.
