I have to agree with you happytaffy. Taylor is so talented but he isn't really showing off his voice. I hope he realizes he really needs to kick butt from now on.

You might be right Gargamel. I think the only time I thought the audience got it right was when Fantasia won. The other winners are just a blurr in my mind.

I was really hoping never to see Ace again after tonight.

That surprises me, Green Witch. Most of the women I have talked to thougt Ace was too hot to vote off, but I'm with you. I think he overdoes the "eyes" thing.

I'm really shocked Mandisa is gone. She had one bad performance and that's it, she's gone? Unbelievable.

If Bucky wins American Idol, I'll never watch again.

I said that when the blonde country singer won last time. However, my husband is away Tuesday nights and the dogs and I like snuggle on the couch and watch TV together. I only get 6 channels, Fox being one of them, so the pickin's are slim.

Well, here's hoping Bucky doesn't win for both our entertainment's sake.

Chris Daugherty is the most likely to win.

If Chris will keep venturing out of his comfort zone and do as well as he has been I tend to agree Lightwizard.

I still am pulling for Taylor though. It's a southern thing. :wink:

I loved it when Simon told Chris that Creed would basically piss on American Idol. That's right Chris - American Idol is not considered cool in the hard rock world.

I think Kellie has the best chance to win. She's got that great Cinderella story to help her along and most Americans are a little tone deaf.

I like Taylor but he doesn't quite have the stage presence and originality of Chris. There's not just a good voice there but an engaging personality.

Someone said to me last night that Kellie was going to win. Actually, wouldn't surprise me. She is adorable.

It is kind of off to see a hard rocker on Idol, isn't it? This is my first season so I don't really know.

If Taylor would do the right kind of songs, he'd kick butt. Don't know why he's playing it so safe.

I think Katherine is the shoe in. She's pretty, skinny and can sing.

I'd say Katherine and Chris will be the final two. Kelly is cute, but we did the country thing last season, and American Idol tends not to want to repeat itself so immediately. Taylor rocks and will probably have a career regardless, but I don't think he'll win. I was surprised to see Mandissa go. Crikey, she has one bad performance and they ditch her. Fat chicks get no breaks, I guess. Paris is talented but uninspiring. I really like Elliot's voice the most of all of them, but he won't win.

I guess I've learned, having just got on board the Idol train (nausea, inner tears), that talent isn't the only thing it takes.

This is one of the only reality TV shows that features normal looking people. And when we're channel surfing, we scrutinize people who look even slightly off. Think of how excruciating it is to watch local car dealership commercials, and how cheesy normal people seem in contrast to those in the program you're watching. And we naturally nitpick when watching Idol. In the state of Texas, 1 out of 4 people are obese. But when Mandisa gets on TV, all people can do is talk about how fat she is, as if they've never seen a fat person before.

I think that Elliot guy has the best voice, but he's got the kind of face people want to vote off. Whereas Katherine, well, you can already picture her in People or US Weekly or some other REALLY SOPHISTICATED magazine.

Of course, in spite of all my cynicism, Reuben and Clay were exceptions, right?

I tend to agree with you Gargamel. I like Idol for the very reason you stated. They are everyday people. I tend to tire of the "image" shows.

Kelly and Chris looks like a good guess.

I understand the contestants will be doing the music of Queen tomorrow night? I am trying but I just can't see any of them singing a Freddy Mercury song, not even Taylor. I think Chris could come close to the rock style, but no one can touch Freddy's voice.

So, I wonder how this show is going to turn out. Anybody have any ideas?
