i worked with a couple of women who were both victims of domestic abuse, one left, the other was still with her partner the last i knew

the lines used come from a song by the rainmakers called "drinkin' on the job"

djjd at first I was thinking you should mail her that but then I thought it would probably freak her out if it was anoymous and get her beaten up if you signed it.

Great image.

Not to pass to much judgement but since I've joined a photosite - I've seemed to grow more conscience of the photographers right and my right to use the photo without permission. WHen I blog another persons photo I now always give reason and ask permission to use the photo. If if someone posts with creative commons there are usually requirements of usage. Because google picks it up does not mean it's a freebie.

Some of these pictures and words are terrific - knowing that a person contributed both makes a more powerful statement for me.
Again I'm not trying to be the heavy - just my 2cents and in the past I might not have been the purist.

I've worked as a professional photographer for the last 20 years and I'm a complete nut-job about copyright. I don't feel that I have violated anyone's copyright in any sense at all.

Like djjd said, it is for my own entertainment. It's an assigment to make me think about my life. It is not a commercial enterprise.

But okay, whatever....

There aren't any copyright laws being broken by using these images in the manner we are using them. Now if we try to make money or advertise A2K off of any of these then there is an issue.

I'd kinda be honered to see someone using my photo in this way...provided it wasn't passed off as their own.

that's not true - you do not have permission to editorially alter the art of someone, what if I took one of your personal pictures and put something you didn't agree with on it? (as an example - I'm not going to)

If you want to find pictures under creative commons less check this search
link

Creative Commons helps you publish your work online while letting others know exactly what they can and can't do with your work. If you already have a website loaded with your own work, follow the steps below, otherwise try one of our guides to publishing your licensed work at a variety of hosting services. link
