Well done, JoeFX against the Rednecks. sending me tumbling from 2nd to 6th in the league.
By the way, I have this player (R Freel-Cincy) whom I may be willing to trade. He is listed as playing 3 different posiitions, is batting about .290 and has a bunch of stolen bases. He could be redundant to me when K Griffey gets off the DL.
I am pretty happy with my pitching staff but I could use a RP who might throw 6 or 8 innings or so a week.

hey johnboy... I think you dropped Griffey. If you want to keep him on your roster, you might want to place him on the DL as opposed to placing him on waivers where anybody can pick him up.

Aaaagh! Pettite finally pitches a decent game (7.0 IP, 5 K, 1 H, 1 ER), and Houston handed to ball over to Lidge for the save. But Lidge just gave up a grand slam to Garciaparra, thus losing the save, getting a loss, and killing his ERA in the process, not to mention blowing Pettite's win -- unless Houston can pull it out in the bottom of the 9th.

-----

They didn't.

Brad Lidge's 4/24/06 ERA ----------> 54.00

Suddenly Barry Zito's 47.25 on 4/3/06 doesn't look so bad.

Your boys hit the cover off the ball Jespah. I'd wager it will be few and far between the weeks you lose once in the HR or RBI categorizes. 22 and 50 respecively last week for you Shocked

I feel for you Tico. I have Easy Eddie Guardado who has been stinkin' it up in Seattle lately. He used to be unhittable... this season the hitters aren't missing much of him.

Yeah, I guess so. Oofa. Embarrassed

PS It's the fine nutrition my trainer has been feeding them. The secret ingredient -- don't tell anyone -- is Purina Puppy Chow. With David Ortiz's mango salsa. Smile

Things are starting to get a little more spread out. Still 6 players within 7.5 games. Even the sister fisters are only 13 out. I like having only eight people in the league. It keeps things more competitive.

So, only one guy allowed in the DL, right?

Si. From the rules:

Quote:
4. All Public Leagues have one DL spot, while Custom League commissioners can choose to have up to five DL positions. Any player is eligible to be placed on the DL as long as he is on the real-life disabled list. Once on the DL, a player may stay there for the entire season, even if he returns to real-life action. However, once a player comes off the real-life DL, you will not be able to complete any transactions until you remove him from your team's DL. You will, however, be able to make intra-roster moves (switching players between bench and active) regardless of a player's DL status.
