We're puppies. We can't help but to get excited.
My team is playing a little better now.
I gathered them, told them I had fired two lacking pitchers and that I would have no mercy on anyone failing me... I hope I scared the sh¡t out of them!
Nice fb... a good manager makes all the difference.

Just hoping bringing in an inspirational rapper pays off at the end of the week (sadly I maxed out my credit card paying the players salaries that I had to do it myself)
Oh! And did you lend a hand to Sister Fister sending guys on DL to the bench?
That'd be my vote, just make obvious changes to lineup like benching DL'ers
Yeah... I put the guys on the DL on the bench and will just leave it like that.
Well done, league manager. A couple of folks got an easy play in week one and two, but in the long haul having a competitive 8th team is good for everyone.
Plus... my brother is playing the Sister Fisters this week... I can't make it too easy for him

And so far it hasn't been easy.
You guys been watching San Diego vs. Colorado? It's 13 - 5 for SD. If anyone's got Brazelton, he's getting spanked.
I make a concerted effort to not have any colorado pitchers on my line-up...
Brazelton's on SD.
(from
http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/boxscore.jsp?gid=2006_04_19_sdnmlb_colmlb_1 )
San Diego IP H R ER BB SO HR ERA
Park (W, 1-0) 7.0 9 4 3 1 4 1 4.86
Brazelton 2.0 0 0 0 0 0 0 -->
18.36
And here's Colorado for that same game:
Colorado IP H R ER BB SO HR ERA
Day (L, 1-2) 3.2 11 8 8 4 1 0 10.80
Ramirez 2.1 2 0 0 0 4 0 0.00
Martin 1.1 3 3 3 0 1 0 6.00
Dohmann 1.2 3 2 2 2 2 0 10.80
Ugly!
That is strange... it says zero earned runs but an ERA of 18.36????
Day from colorado however... 11 runs 8 earned in only 3.2 innings
OUCH!
I think the ERA listed there is for the season.

It is the season ERA. Yahoo shows the same.
Ah, my error. He's still stinkin' up the place, though of course it's early in the season and these things tend to flatten out.
Congrats to rjb; Schilling was terrific yesterday.
We have some crazy lead changes going on this week, Jespah. I think there have been 12 point swings two days in a row now.
Schilling is off to, according to Yahoo, the best start of his career (4-0 with a lof IP and only a handful of ER).. But my squad has another RedSox starter, Becket, who is 3-0 with a lot of IP and an even lower ERA. He is scheduled to start on Friday; I hope I didn't jinx him. How about them Fister Sisters?
