Reyn, I'm sorry to hear about your wife's health issues. Does she have a good support group? Do you?

Short answer: No
Other than our kids and a couple of family members, we only have ourselves.

Reyn, I am sorry to hear that. I wish your wife all the best and hope you'll both get through this with flying colors. Good luck to you and your wife!

Thanks! I hope I won't have to come back with bad news.

jipped? gyped? gipped? Hmmmm...... I think it's gyped and I bet it derives from the word gypsy and if it does, you'd better run , Amigo! Or maybe the Romaphile won't be so mad as I would think.

Cryptic?

ok, more pix...... <damn, I'll never get this paper done>

Reyn, there are women right here on a2k who may be useful to speak with privately about this issue. It must be harder to talk about some things with family than with people who are more anonymous.

Yes, thanks for that. I will certainly keep that in mind for the future. I'm hoping all things coming up will turn out okay for her. She's such a sweet person not deserving of all this stuff.

[fingers crossed]

Romaphile. Sure. Roma being the politically correct term for a 'gypsy'. And Romaphile being me. I worked for a number of years with the Roma of Slovakia. So you better watch out!
Then again, I'm an Amigophile, too. So it evens out.

Spring is nearing. The witch hazel knows it, the pussy willow knows it, but the birds are still not certain....

It's a witch hazel.

Don't really have more. My camera has taken a serious disliking to the cold. Or at least I'm hoping that's all it is. Wait, there's one more.....

Some sort of chrysalis, I saw two in a short stretch in a swampy area. Looks like a leaf was used and pasted around who ever is inside.

Ha! Don't you wonder who will come out in spring? I almost brought it home!

Here's a recent shot of a snowy lake.
