another thing I had thought of that the Mister responds to really well is -
If i spend direct time trying to change what I am doing, I have a concrete example of what I am doing and , a way to show him a diffrence.
If what I am doing doesnt make a big diffrence in , lets say , a week? ( enough time I think.. )
I can turn to him and say something along the lines of " i have wanted to try to be more.. assertive in conversations. Have you noticed a diffrence lately?"
Then I can give specific examples of things I HAVE done.
Most other times, when we have had problems with things I have or have not done, he works best and responds well to me giving an outline of what I have accomplished, begun, or lost track of.
Frankly, I work better with that too.
( more of a rambling to self/ thinking out loud post then anything else. ) hehehe

I think it will. I just have to keep the " i have to open my mouth" mindset, or I will be right back at square one.
