EB - right, and echoing everyone else. What a superb way to go.
Alcohol was a little tougher. It took three years of trying. Never went in for AA type stuff.
Just from what I've heard about AA, they don't allow for much self respect, do they edgar?
The continual reminders of "times were" makes it tough on self-respect.
I don't know what AA does. Never contacted them.
Well, I don't know personally about AA, only from literature and interviews: helps quite a lot, I think.
(I founded a couple of similar groups myself after I quit drinking .. with the help of a therapy in three weeks, 20 years ago.)
Did both (stopping drinking & smoking) without great difficulties: I just had to stop.
I am so envious of you, Walter. Smoking is the worse of them. They are now thinking that it is as bad as, or worse, than heroin and other similar 'hard' drugs.
Smoking doesn't do harm to relations, work, money .... and yourself so much as other drugs!
Dammit, Gautam, I was looking to you for inspiration! <sigh>
Anyway, WELCOME BACK .. lovely to see you again!
Welcome back, Gautum - I hope, you don't mind me still be on the other site
Gautam, are you back already? Boy, time flies when you're having fun!
How's your mom? Tell us all about it?
I want to hear about your trip, Gautam, hmmm, how about a whole thread??? (nagging...)
