How Should a Christian Act?

Thank you, Lady Lash.

Echi,

I guess we do interpret it differently. Starting at 1 Thessalonians 5:13 what is being discussed is the Coming of the Lord.

You might want to read some verses before and after 1 Corinthians 15:44. It talks about more than just a spiritual body.

Well, I'm not going to read the whole thing. My convictions come mostly from personal introspection. Christ is within a person, not a book.

How would you know of Him without the Book?

It doesn't matter.

I skirt too close to challenging you. I have no business doing that. My apologies.

I start out with innocent interest, and then I begin questioning with an agenda.

Apologies.

No problem, Lash. I didn't sense any aggression or anything.

I hope you didn't sense any from me, either. (I try to keep it well-hidden.) Laughing

I have to jump in, here, because I feel your post directly applies to me. This is a "Spirituality and Religion" forum. It is not exclusively for Christians. Furthermore, it is not exclusively for people who are religious.
I can understand why some (esp. atheists and agnostics) might find little difference between "spiritual" and "religious", but as someone who is non-religious (even a bit anti-religious) yet highly spiritual, I can tell you that I see quite a huge gap.
And beyond the religious/spiritual point, this (as I understand) is a forum for anyone who wishes to discuss spiritual or religious topics. Surely, you can agree on that.

Echi,
Of course, I agree with what you are saying. I do not have any problem with anyone joining in a discussion. However, it should be that... a discussion. Setanta is one of the exceptions who do not want to join in any civil discussion. He is here to disrupt and he is very good at it.

I hold nothing against anyone that is anything other than a Christian. I don't care if they are agnostic, atheist, Jewish, Buddhist, Catholic, Baptist or anything else. Most, as you, discuss and have a back and forth presentation of facts, questions and opinions. Mr. Setanta, on the other hand, gets his "kicks" from antagonizing those who post.

I am sorry if I have offended you in any way Echi.

I was going to say the SAME thing. It was brimming.... not ANGRY aggression, but just challenging your beliefs.

...which is shitty. Hard to catch one's self, when one is me.

I'm a doorstop, now?

This doesn't bode well for our next impassioned bi-monthly harmless flirtation.

lash said shitty on a christian thread, is that different than saying shitty on a non-christian thread? My 84 yr old aunt is a devout christian and she says shitty all the time, is she going to hell?
Yes fruitcakes.
