How Should a Christian Act?

Well, Questioner, to be toally and completely honest...

I have the holy spirit, I do know this and I do feel led. Believe me, I wouldn't be here in this forum by my own free will, like I use to go by. I would have opted out the first day, or maybe not even came here at all.
Not only that, God will not think any less of me if I reach NOone. That's the beauty of it. He loves us just the same.

I don't worry about him thinking I'm a dirty monkey at all, I don't see it that way.

When one loves God, they want to do these things naturally.

Hope this is a good enough answer for you. =)

Wanda

I'm sorry for bringing up something from deep in the archives of this thread but I'm curious what you mean by 'especially now', Wanda. What's happening now that makes you feel your faith is being walked all over?

I'm sorry J-B. I didn't actually mean those two sentences in relation.

This is what I meant:

Christians seem to feel this need to be even stronger than before and to try and save as many souls as possible since we're getting closer day by day. I know this is hard to see...it's just hard to not feel this way.

*sigh*

I know the nonbelievers see us as picking on them and forcing our religion on them. It's very hard to not come across this way when we actually DO care. God put it in us to care. That's the only reason it gets so frustrating at times. We just have this need to win as many souls over to Christ as we can. It's heart breaking too.

You don't have to apologize for bringing old things up, besides, it's not too old anyway. Very Happy

I hope I cleared that up good enough.

Wanda

Ah, I see. Thanks for the clarification, Wanda. It is certainly a different thought process than I thought you were saying.

Just how does one go about saving someone's soul? Not to be disrespectful, but it sounds like David Koresh or Jim Jones to me.

Not to mention, it seems awfully convenient to be a pest and then say "God put it in me...."

Having a desire for something doesn't make following that desire right. That's the whole point of free will.

I know that some people think I'm overly hostile to religious fruitcakes because I sometimes have this need to just shoot them on sight, they need to understand that I'm doing it for their own good. I also have a need for illicit drugs.

Apart from the conceit implicit in your inferential suggestion that you have all the answers, your response to the post by Dys which followed displays a sad ignorance with which the god squad always discredit themselves . . .

Jeanne D'Arc is the correct name for the woman known to the English as Joan of Arc. In her own lifetime, she was usually referred to as Jeanne la Pucelle--Joan the Maiden. She was proud of her virginity, and it seems highly likely that she went to the fire a virgin . . .

Now the flames they followed joan of arc
As she came riding through the dark;
No moon to keep her armour bright,
No man to get her through this very smoky night.
She said, I'm tired of the war,
I want the kind of work I had before,
A wedding dress or something white
To wear upon my swollen appetite.

Well, I'm glad to hear you talk this way,
You know I've watched you riding every day
And something in me yearns to win
Such a cold and lonesome heroine.
And who are you? she sternly spoke
To the one beneath the smoke.
Why, I'm fire, he replied,
And I love your solitude, I love your pride.

Then fire, make your body cold,
I'm going to give you mine to hold,
Saying this she climbed inside
To be his one, to be his only bride.
And deep into his fiery heart
He took the dust of joan of arc,
And high above the wedding guests
He hung the ashes of her wedding dress.

It was deep into his fiery heart
He took the dust of joan of arc,
And then she clearly understood
If he was fire, oh then she must be wood.
I saw her wince, I saw her cry,
I saw the glory in her eye.
Myself I long for love and light,
But must it come so cruel, and oh so bright?

I'm the other one,

Do not worry about what anyone says about your desire to be a Christian or what you believe the Lord has in mind for you. No one can tell you that. Just try to understand that for those that do not believe as we do, it is kind of hard for them to understand how we feel.

They do have the right to their beliefs, feelings, etc., just the same as you do.

Just try not to take it personally.

If we are indeed living in the end times, then I would appreciate very much if someone could help me to do what's needed to avoid being "left behind". All I ask for are some reasons that make sense. Without good reasons to offer, how could any of you hope to help anyone? If helping to guide souls to salvation is what God expects of you, then IMO you're all giving up way too easily.

So, exactly what would you like to know?

Interesting. You're not the first on this site to be concerned for my privacy. I don't understand that concern. (But it's beside the point, I guess.)

Is it your belief that I am lacking some important information that could one day cause me great anguish?

I'm surprised at how coy MOAN has gotten all of a sudden . . . should she not wish to make a joyful noise, to spread the good word?

Mr. Setanta,

I understand how you feel about the Christian beliefs. You have made that quite clear. But, sir, if someone asks someone else for something, do you think it is right to discourage them?http://users.pandora.be/eforum/emoticons4u/sad/1346.gif

Isn't this the kind of thing you would accuse Christians of doing to you and others? Are you now trying to impose your beliefs on someone not asking you for them?

I hope you are having a great day, Mr. Setanta!http://web4.ehost-services.com/el2ton1/heart.gif
