I'm surprised at how coy MOAN has gotten all of a sudden . . . should she not wish to make a joyful noise, to spread the good word?

Mr. Setanta,

When echi asked that question, I did make a joyful noise to the Lord!http://users.pandora.be/eforum/emoticons4u/happy/1274.gif But the point is, Mr. Setanta, a person's salvation and their deciding on what to do about it is a very personal thing. http://users.pandora.be/eforum/emoticons4u/angels/heilig.gif Judging by some of the things said by others about the beliefs of others, I did not want to subject echi to that in any way.

I am more than happy to discuss this with echi, however he wants it discussed.

Please have a happy day, Mr. Setanta!http://web4.ehost-services.com/el2ton1/heart.gif

Which is to say, you figured out when you got here that you wouldn't get away with promoting your webshite, or your favorite webshite, just chock full o millenarian horsie poop, rapture and all, so now you want to e-mail so you can give the link you dare not post in the open.

Yawn . . .

Interesting. You're not the first on this site to be concerned for my privacy. I don't understand that concern. (But it's beside the point, I guess.)

Is it your belief that I am lacking some important information that could one day cause me great anguish?

echi,

I don't know if you are lacking some important information because I do not know exactly what it is you believe.

So, maybe the best thing to do is start out small and work out way up?

Are you sure? I wouldn't know where to start. Isn't there like a list of things that a person needs to check off, or something?

Mr. Setanta,

I was suspended for a short time because I went against the TOS. Embarrassed That was my fault. I didn't read them totally and I broke the rules. I have not and will not post that in an open forum again.

I am not sure what the other website is you are referring to, as I have many favorites. Laughing

Have a great afternoon, Mr. Setanta!http://web4.ehost-services.com/el2ton1/heart.gif

Laughing A list? Well, can't say I have ever heard it put like that before. So, will just tell you what I believe, ok?

I believe that God created everything and everyone. I believe that He sent His son to the earth to be born, be crucified, buried and resurrected. I believe this was done so that I do not have to die a spiritual death. I believe that Jesus Christ took the punishment for my sins.

Because of my beliefs in God/Jesus, I try to live by the teachings of Christ. I feel I am a better person because of it because His teachings show me a better way than what I was doing on my own.

Mr. Setanta,

Then it's just a good thing that God is the only one that can decide what is truly in a person's heart, I'd say.http://web4.ehost-services.com/el2ton1/biggrinsmiley.gif

As to being entertained, hey, whatever floats your boat!http://users.telenet.be/eforum/emoticons4u/party/fest30.gif

Momma--

Do you mean you believe it in a metaphorical sense, or is it actual history?

echi,

I believe it happened. Not metaphorically. Christ actually walked this earth and was crucified and ascended into heaven when He was resurrected.

Do you think it's necessary for me to believe that if I'm to go to Heaven, too?

Mr. Setanta,

I know how you feel about this. Crying or Very sad That is your decision. Like I said, God knows a person's heart. That is the important thing to me. Laughing

echi,

I cannot tell you that. That is God's place and not mine. I know what I believe the Bible says. If that is not what the Bible says to you, then that's not what it says to you.

I will not tell anyone they are condemned to hell because I have no authority, right, etc., to do so. That is God's place alone.

echi,

Does it matter to you what I think? I am not the final judge of these things. It matters not what I think, but what you think that is important, isn't it?

A person's deepest held spiritual beliefs are between them and God, echi. The only thing I can do is tell you what I believe and why.

Momma--

Loud and clear. I just thought you might have some knowledge of what it takes to ensure one's salvation. I thought that was the main point of your religion, and all. Do you not feel certain that your beliefs are correct?

It would take a stable full of horses to drop what you are dropping here. If someone wants to give someone their e-mail address or website info in private it is.... in short.... none of your business. Period.

Do you have something against a cat shelter website and a site to help your soldiers abroad? Rolling Eyes

Echi, I have no problem with telling you or anyone else how I feel or what I believe in. I have been told by many who post on A2K "How dare you say I am damned to hell because you don't believe what I believe!" In all truth, I never actually told anyone they were damned to hell because they don't believe what I believe.

I know what I believe one needs to accept, believe, and live to go to heaven. I cannot force anyone else to believe it, nor would I want to. This is a decision that must be made individually. If it is not a real from the heart honest decision, it would mean nothing IMO.

So, I tell you what I believe. I can only suggest that you go to the Bible and read the New Testament. Let your heart hear what the Lord says.

Intrepid,

Thank you, my friend.http://web4.ehost-services.com/el2ton1/heart.gif
