The world is dangerous and many don't recognize the dangers because they are too afraid of boogeymen who are supposedly working 24 hours a day to kill them.

Freedom comes from constant vigilance. It comes with a price that includes danger. Unless you are willing to accept that danger you don't have much right to be free. Learn to recognize the difference between danger from without and danger from within. Outside dangers can never take away your freedoms.

Cower in fear. You are playing right into the hands of Osama Bin Laden.

And you're willing to sacrifice your civil liberties so that you can keep on munching french fries at McDonalds.

You're right.

Let's not tapp into any phone calls from suspected terrorists.

Let;s disband all police and Homeland security activity.

Let's make it easier to get into the country at our boarders.

So what if Osama states again that he is planning an attack.

It's not fear you idiots.

It's called being prudent during times of conflict. You clowns will be the first in line to blame GW if we get hit again.

Prudence is doing things that are easily within the law. The clowns are the people that say we need to ignore the constitution to defend this country. Your strawman argument that we want to disband the police is quite a strawman there.

What does it take to get a warrant to tap phones? Some paperwork and a valid reason. That seems a small price to pay to protect the country AND our freedoms.

Best to hunker down and save our butts. Or is it "bunker down" as Hitler did at the end? It didn't save him, though...

What you may consider prudence strikes me as cowardice. You'd sell out your birthright as an American for a shred of security.

IF it is found to be illegal, then you have a valid point.

I suspect that 99% of the people in this nation HAVE NOT been inconvienenced one bit (outside of airtravel) from ANY action taken by the US Govt to date. All the "whining" is based upon the rhetoric from the Democrats and their "hatred" for anything Bush.

Yet, when Hillary Clinton stands before the cameras and plays the IRAQ card, no-one on the left can will say she is over reacting when the circumstances between IRan and Iraq are very very similiar.

Just to set the record straight re Hillary: There are many on the left who are unhappy re her support of the war.

It is outside of the law. The only way what they're doing can be legal is if FISA unconstitutionally restricts the president, which a court will have to decide. Calling it illegal is not that great of a leap.

That's just bullshit. The complaints have merit. Those who hate Bush got a little more fuel for their fire, but hatred for Bush is not the driving force. If you dismiss it so easily as this, you do yourself a disservice.

Why should I? Did I make some claim about GWB changing my life?

Well, just in case, here's one. Ever since GWB came into my life I've felt fulfilled in a way I've never known before. When I asked him into my heart as my personal lord and savior I felt a weight lift off of my shoulders and a strong sense of peace in my heart. Now I know that everything will be ok because I have GWB in my life. He's changed me, and I'm a new soul now. One day, he will hold me in his blessed arms and escort me to heaven. Oh the joy!

Thank you. Your avoidence demonstrates my point.

99% of all Americans have not had a significant change to their lives as a result of ANYTHING GW has done to protect this Nation.

Uh, woiyo, that's not what this is about. My response was to your "whining" comment. I never said that we were affected in our day to day lives -- that was your strawman.

 McG.

BUNK!!!

The whiners (not that you are one of them) can not demonstrate how their lives have been effected by aything GW has done. Yet, they complain like they have been imprisoned and had "their freedoms" taken from them.
