I failed. They said I needed 70% correct but got 90%. Oh me . . .

My avatar was surprisingly easy to acquire. I uploaded the pic to flickr and they saved it for me in four sizes, automatically. I didn't realize they did that until I stumbled across the info yesterday.

I get three days off work, beginning tomorrow. One for my birthday and two for vacation. That will leave me ten more this year. Gonna take some long naps tomorrow. Don't know about the others yet.

Is tomorrow your birthday, edgar?

I'll need to bake a cake.

Did I miss the party?

(fret, fret)

I've been saving your gift. It's a weather vane, and most appropriate for a writer of your caliber. I trust you can install it yourself.

Don't you know, You don't need a weather vane to know which way the wind blows (Bob Dylan, sort of). Sorry; there was no birthday thread, but we had a small get-together on WA2K Radio, thanks to Letty and some of our friends.

Thank you. It was a subdued sort of day for me. The wife and I went to a new flea market, but other than that hung around the house.

Hey, edgar! Happy belated! sorry I missed it. Here's a little ditty for you

May God bless and keep you always,
May your wishes all come true,
May you always do for others
And let others do for you.
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

May you grow up to be righteous,
May you grow up to be true,
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you.
May you always be courageous,
Stand upright and be strong,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

May your hands always be busy,
May your feet always be swift,
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift.
May your heart always be joyful,
May your song always be sung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

I just emailed that same song to a dear friend from Wash DC. It's hard to beat a song like that. Thanks for your kind words.
