Ach, I'm torn. I like France too..
but I'll carry on with the Azzurri.
Seemed a bit of an anti-climactic game tho, but perhaps we've just gotten spoiled, specially after last night.
France started off sparkling. But then soon lost initiative and for twenty minutes or so, Portugal had the better chances, and was very dangerous. I was holding my breath. But France picked up (and scored) that PK it didnt really deserve, and then also started picking up on the game again. And overall, I think France was just the better team. It also played more fairly, the Portuguese doing more of their blatant diving, and more prettily. Few times I thought, man, they're showing 'em how the game is played.
But still, the second half was just kind of boring. What was the problem? They all seemed tired. A bit lacklustre. I didnt get the feeling that Portugal really wanted it, for a long time, until it was too late.
I'm happy France won, of course, but I was more impressed with them against Brazil..
Still, gotta be grateful that I dont have to see that smirk of Cristiano Ronaldo's anymore. And no more Scolari, that must be a good thing too.
I'll be cheering for Henry
Vive le France!
(We'll be in Montmartre in October)
I don't know who to support now. I'll probably go for France because it is Zidane's last year in football. ONLY for this.
...and look who was among the English hooligans
Oh god, he looks awful...
Henry! Yes, he was really good. He did some amazing things tonight. Perhaps the best player of the game??
Ricardo coming out to help attack in the last minute was cute, btw...

Lilian Thuram was the best player tonight, IMO.
A disappointing game. Portugal were toothless up front. Barthez is a disaster waiting to happen...

Another guy broke his foot while striking a wall, thinking he was Francesco Totti scoring a goal.
Cases of face paralysis have incremented in 20%, a consequence of nervous chinese watching games instead of sleeping. A husband locked her wife in a room because she wouldn't allow him to watch games, and students in a university rioted because electricity was cut after midnight and they couldn't watch TV.
Crazy bunch. And I thought japs where weird.
just wait until they start playing its going to be mad

OK, someone had waaayy too much time on his hands...
but it was worth it
(Peter Crouch in unlikely places. Hilarious.)
(I like the windmills, Twister and Mongol invaders - or whatever they are - ones best. And the Darwin one.)

that was so funny nimh. Particularly liked the wind turbines and clock face. Every time I saw him get the ball I was worried his leg would snap.
Heard on radio yesterday
"The germans are so professional at penalty shoot outs. Lehmann had a database on shooters preferences stuffed down his sock. He knew what they would likely do. Why dont we study the opposition like that?"
"Yeah well if we did, Robinson would probably go for the wrong leg".
The synchronized swimming got me...
