I can only read the BBC text. I saw the first yellow was for diving, what was the second for?

I have seen better refs at my daughter's U13 competitive games. But I've also seen worse - much worse.

But at this level it's truly sad to see.

I'm watching a replay of Tunisia Ukraine. The referee gave that game to Ukraine, who played like a bunch of old ladies. I hope they are quickly dispatched in the next round by Switzerland.

Who do I cheer for now? Is Mexico still in?

Mexico play Argentina on Saturday, amigo.

I shall be cheering on the Mexicans, whilst scoffing a chilli con carne as a way of showing my support.

Nice cheering pal, but chilli con carne is Texan food, not Mexican.

Really? I thought that Con Carne was a little village, two miles west of Guadalajara.
I shall now partake of twenty minutes of furious googling. This always helps me start the day with a smile on my face.

Team facts - Germany

For the fifth World Cup in a row, Germany have won their group and are unbeaten as they enter the second phase. Since winning in 1954, Germany have only been eliminated from the World Cup before the semi-finals on three occasions, all against nations from Eastern Europe.

Germany have never been beaten at this stage of a World Cup, and have won seven of their last eight matches.

Team facts - Sweden

Sweden's best performance in 10 previous appearances in the World Cup finals was runners-up to Brazil in 1958.

Sweden have won just one of their eight matches in 2006, the 1-0 victory against Paraguay in the first phase.

Should be a piece of cake (and coffee) for Germany!

And a little Disappointment felt by some who'd had high hopes.

I missed the first half of the match, which was apparently the where the game ended. Had a feeling Germany would win. I hope they're ready to go against Argentina. (A little premature, I know.)

Germany were devastating. Ballack could have scored 5 or 6.

Well done. Brilliant performance. Mrs S reports all England silent.

Being a fickle Manchester United supporter, I am of course changing my allegience to

DEUTSCHLAND

you think I'm joking? Yes of course I am, but if England dont Germany SHOULD.

Well, Mexico's scored two goals in the first 10 minutes.

Unfortunately, one was in their own goal.
