Our commentators suck ass. Yorke got it in the nuts. He's rolling on the ground with his hand in his pants holding his tackle, and our commentator says "looks like he got hit in the lower stomach, that's a bad place to get hit". Are they not allowed to say nuts on tv?
Laughing did you see as he walked off he took a drink of water then squirted some more down the front of his pants...much to the amusement of the physios...

Walter, I know that fat bloke in front of our neighbour mrs B...he used to be a postman.

Not the kind you're looking for, I'm sure.

Anybody else think the ref is being a bit harsh on Trinidad? Is he trying to get them down to 10 again, so that they can play better?

That was a long time coming. What's up with that last yellow card? It didn't even look like a foul to me.

Lennon seems to be more an advantage for the English team than Roony.

If there is one.

Well, the cards are -IMHO- given according to the (revised) rules (for the games).

Damnit! That damn Crouch is always being left alone on the far post. The ugly bastard finally got one.

Trinidad's goal taken back for offsides. I think I'm going to have a heart attack.

Well, Lennon and Rooney were close to what I was suggesting, and it did the trick.

The first half had their penalty area PACKED with defenders, as they knew EXACTLY what the England tactics were....every time.

Rooney's potential trickery and Lennon's speed caused a few of their defenders to start coming out, and in the end left Crouch one on one instead of being mobbed.

England's second goal is exactly how they should play, IMO. Bang it about on the edge of the box like a pinball, as we have three, maybe four players who can strike it with great accuracy and pace from that range.

You see Brazil do it all the time....the defence doesn't know where the shot is going to come from, and consequently they are all over the place.

At last...Sven showed some balls.

Now......I'd LOVE to see Sven use Walcott in the next match against Sweden, just to let the lad show what he can do. He is a Brazilian in an England shirt!

1982 Italians terrible in every group game, but went on to win the world cup...therefore

England will get knocked out quick...maybe or maybe not.

I actually hoped TNT might win today. Then we would HAVE to smash the Svierges...and we probably would.

england to win the world cup 2006? No
