husker, why are Jane and I always snapping at each other? I mean, we're friends and all that, but there seems to be some sort of undercurrent of tension that flows between us.

Let me stretch out on the couch while you explain this to me.

the room - along with the books - has prints/paintings/photos of people reading/writing

these two didn't get too much glare when I took the photos

Oh man, I didn't mean to take this long. Been a little busy lately. I took a bunch of photos but only one turned out. So here is the little table I got for my study/home office...whatever

That room looks very cosy, Swimpy. Beautiful floors. I want wood floors!

Does your table have flowers painted on it? Cool.

Yea, it's got handpainted bellflowers (I think) on the top. The whole think is distressed like the desk is. I love this room. It's not finished yet. I move at a glacial pace when it comes to decorating.

ehBeth,
I love the Coquelicot and the dress maker's doll.
Your collection of readers reminded me of a book I read some years ago- a man describing his joy of reading.
Swimpy,
your study looks cosy and inviting. Not like work.

ohhhh
more wonderful wood
I really like the lightness of your rooms, ul.

~~~~~~~~
movers always hate me
"Ma'am, you have a lot of wood"
"Why, yes I do"
I love wood - especially when it's fairly uncurlicued. Curves - yes. Clean lines - yes. Carvings - not so much <except in picture frames>
