I think when people join up for armed service they expect that they will only be put in harm's way for a good reason. The fact that many would-be military personnel are aware that that isn't now the case could be the reason they are not joining up.

I wonder, goodfielder, how many in Australia have been made aware of the dangers from Muslim Extremism because of the alleged planned attack in Australia?

It is sad that Americans can not find a way to unite right now. Seriously. It is like watching frightened children with no parent around.
America is leaderless. Perfect pickin' for all the nutbars on all sides of the political spectrum.

It is sad that so many Americans have died for nothing. I have seen a lot of military men and women trying hard to make it to Canada. Deja Vu?!
