so according to that, only 2.2% of the population has an IQ over 128?

interesting..

The last time I took an IQ test, it seemed to break down like =

100-120 average
120-130 above average
and 130+ genius..

but..that seems a bit off as well.

Well, Phoenix I will explain how much danger the traditional marriage is …. Seeing in Mass. we have elected to allow same sex marriage, I can tell you from experience. Since then all h*ll has broken loose. Traditionally married couples are splitting up left and right as a result! You see couples arguing all other the streets. Dogs are now co-habituating with cats. I can't even go on it is so terrible…

The last IQ test I took, I was above average - borderline genus (if I remember correctly). I consider myself a Christian, who supports gay rights (many Christians do - being Christian and anti-gay rights does not go hand and hand). Also, I always take such tests with a grain of salt.

i have to agree with the majority here, (well actually i think it should be illeagal for anyone to get married but that's just my issue) the traditional marriage is fairly screwed up as it is, how much worse could it get

I sure don't, but then again, I have a real live homosexual couple living RIGHT on my block. Probably more like 4 couples, but I only know about 25% of the people on my block.

Nice weather today, huh?!

The weather has been simply beautiful lately. I've been on the bike every day.

I really feel bad for people who live in other places than Austin....

I'd be more than happy to buy a beer at Schultz's for anyone who'd like to meet up and talk politics/whatever in person...

Cheers

How about an Amaretta Sour? I don't much care for beer. If so, I'll beg my wife to take our next vacation out your way, just to collect. Hehe.

What I question is how MARRIAGE got to be a legal thing anyways seeing as how it is just a religious ritual .....

It's already passed in 11 states.

11 states approve constitutional amendments to outlaw gay nuptials

Wednesday, November 3, 2004 Posted: 3:22 PM EST (2022 GMT)

(CNN) -- Six months after gay and lesbian couples won the right to marry in Massachusetts, opponents of same-sex marriage struck back Tuesday, with voters in 11 states approving constitutional amendments codifying marriage as an exclusively heterosexual institution.

Voters in Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon and Utah all approved anti-same-sex marriage amendments by double-digit margins.

It's a travesty, but unfortunately it's spreading. Courts have struck down laws banning same-sex marriage as unconstitutional so the workaround has been for the states to pass constitutional amendments banning same-sex marriage. From the flier posted above I can't tell exactly what is being voted on. Is it a law or a constitutional amendment?

ah.. just reread it, it looks like it's a constitutional amendment. GWB has asked the states to sponsor these votes and would actually like one on a national level. How much pull does GW still have in Texas?

Was reading the actual proposition the other day and the way that it reads it would actually prevent the state / government from recognizing ANY marriage.

Also says marriage is between only one man and one woman.

Wonder who the lucky pair might be...
