Hey, Chumly and Reyn - do you pronounce Abbotsford the way the news announcers do or the way we locals always have?

news announcers: Abbots-ford

ehBeth: Looking for a boat! We're drowning.

Do you still have the humidity? I almost asphyxiated in London from it.

Chumly - ditto Smile

Yup, still have the humidity. They had to crank up the dehumidifier at dance class last night.

I'm surprised you can't see my poofity hair across the prairies and over the foothills.

In about a month, it'll probably be another 5 degrees cooler here. :wink: Laughing

I don't know about that, my friend. It's been coming down pretty good today.

The high out here is 16 C today.

Personally, I pronounce it the correct way, which would be the latter option. Laughing

Well, the new Abbotsford Hospital out our way is really taking shape now. It's going to be quite the deal. Huge piece of property. We live about 4 blocks away, in an indirect way.

The old MSA Hospital was down the other way, about 7 blocks. what a piece of junk it looks like nowadays. When my wife was in there recently, you can see the various wear and neglect it's had. Quite sad really.

our kingston general hospital strted out as the first seat of the government of upper canada about 1860 !!!

while it has has been enlarged and updated many times , it's still a place that's been cobbled together !

since it is a university teaching hospital , it has an outstanding group of nurses and physicians that do absolutely outstanding work - but they should have a new facility .

about 15 years ago a commission for "restructuring" was appointed and they STRONGLY recommended that a new hospital be built pronto .
15 years later and a lot of money later , the government says they can't just "throw away" the facility and built a new one !

GOOD PLANNING ???
hbg

the hospital has ben built around the old building - which is still in existence !

Wow! I finally managed to get on this morning and post!

Just to let others know (and Letty Laughing ) that all is okay. I just haven't been able to get onto A2K. I guess it's been down for maintenance. I read about the move to .org, so I guess lots going on.

Anyway, all is fine.

As I mentioned above, I haven't been able to get onto the site a lot lately. I think the site has been down, and no problem at my end.

Well, we have been out, for sure. It's important to get a little bit of excercise every day after an operation. Otherwise, one might end up with other problems, like blood clots.

She's having some problems coping with the healing pain from inside. Lots of "tugging and pulling". She's no whimp when it comes to pain, so I know it must hurt like hell.

Getting lots of rain now here on the west. How's it there?

We haven't had any usable rain in far too long. I've been watering the garden with what I collect from the dehumidifier. We NEED rain!

My friend the Empress had 'scope surgery about 3 months ago. She thought since the 'outside' scar was so little that it'd be an easy-peasy recovery. The surgeon and doc had to remind her that it was a long internal scar that was healing. Better in a lot of ways, but still a fair bit of healing to get done.

~~~
Always the best to you and Vivienne.
