Hi, Yitwail said you guys were looking for me. We're playing some chess on said site. I'm never too far away.

As some of you already know, I'm back to playing chess. This is taking some time up, but I'm also up to trying to make a few bucks as well.

I've been signing up to participate in "paid surveys". There's a few bucks to be made there it seems. Not a fortune, but a little here and there.

Actually, I rarely get to the "big city". I'm located in Abbotsford, up in the Fraser Valley. That's at least an hour drive east of Vancouver.

Thanks for thinking of me folks! I've been at A2K reading, but not posting much, as none of my threads have been coming up until today.

You know how to find me!

mornin' reyn :
so next time you go missing we'll send the "mounties" to abbotsford to track you down. we've ben getting your b.c. rain during the last 24 hours - need a boat to navigate the backyard.
good luck with your chess game - and don't spend your hard-earned money foolishly (harump, ahem, cough, cough ... !). hbg

...at ease !...

According to the weather last night, you guys had icy conditions and snow in some places? The rain has stopped, at least for now, although it did rain hard last night.

Actually right now I'm playing 10 games simultaneously. It's not "live chess".

I'm always careful with our money.

Have a good day, hbg!

Hi Reyn.

Ijoined an internet chess site as well. Playing a mini-tournament at the mo with 9 others - that's 18 games. There's a max 10 days per move though so it's not too demanding.

So what do you open with? Roy Lopez? Guioco Pianissimo?

I open with whatever looks good, or feel like at the moment. I don't really study openings, or anything else. I just play for fun.

Nope, sorry, I can't take the credit for it. It's not cold here. 8 degrees here now.

Put your woolen underwear on. Very Happy

I'm betting that the climate there isn't as mild as Victoria, BC.

not right now, that's for sure

but we are surround on three sides by water, lake erie to the south, the detroit river to the west, and lake st clair to the north, so it does help to moderate our temps at times
