Well that was a 26 mile nasty drive - of packed ice and snow.

Wow, that's a horrible commute. What kind of tires have you got on your car?

I remember those types of drives home.

Heart in your throat, trying to maintain that exact speed that won't send you into a sideways slide.

It would've been kinda scary fun sometimes if there was no one else on the road, except you had to think about the 5 miles walk.

the studs are in my trunk with the last visit to the hospital and all the other extra crap in my life - many things tend to just wait - LOL not really

Sometimes I think of driving on ice like getting acrophobia or vertigo, 95% of the time no problem then all of a sudden it like your standing in the edge of with a 50mph wind at your back being afraid of falling. just a little slip of the wheel and here it comes - the nervous pit in your guy and tightness in your groin.
Then I think it's like if everyone would just drive the same speed having a crash would not be so bad?? I could be so wrong on that but is sort of makes sense in my book.

Well, I hope your drive home went a bit better. I know it can be nerve-wracking. I always worry about the car behind me, and hope they're being careful.

Today, a few flurries, but nothing that settled. Temps have been hovering around 0 and +1 C today. Down to -2 C tonight.

Well I'm home - sure been a long day so far left the house 12.5 hours ago. Had to made the business bank deposit, come home and start the kids car, take son to tire store to get other car that had studs installed today, stopped at foodbank to pick up daughter - took her to drivers education classes. Drink a water and plopped in lazyboy legs up.

You're making me tired just reading about your day! I almost feel guilty for only having a 7 minute commute.

Aren't those Lazyboys the best? We've got a couple of those ourselves.

<Reyn, clearly pronouncing his name as wren reaches over and pinches Dys cheek>

"You loveable, rascally rogue, you!"

<Gives Dys a big hug and runs away>

"See ya later, buddy!"
